Colleagues and I have a monthly ‘coffee’ meeting where we pick random (or not so random) locales where we can discuss work stuff while having a good cup o’ joe. This month we picked Comma Cafe. This is actually the second time we venture into the Cafe. I for one, like it. It is family friendly but quiet enough to have a conversation without having to shout (at least it is at 9 am on a weekday. There has been plenty of seating for a group of 9 and there are still other tables, chairs, lounges and bars available for people to use. I’ve seen people on their laptops here, doing work although I am not families with Comma’s rules on that. The decor is multi age- friendly with some Lego pieces, art pieces and paintings littered about the room with a couple of focal points. Staff has been friendly, quick and accurate in their service provision. The place generally very clean and if you order in, you are expected to out your own dishes away in the dish trays. The drinks and food have been good both times I’ve been to comma. I am not a coffee connoisseur by any means and it meets my needs. I’ve also had a chai tea at comma and a ham and cheese croissant. Both went down easy. If you are into trying new places like airy, yet funky decor and a ‘relatively’ quiet place to sip yer Joe, give comma a try. What have you got to lose?

This is my favorite coffee shop in all of Vancouver! And lucky for me, it's my local too! I'm not a huge coffee snob, but I know what I like and what I don't like. Comma never misses! It's an independent owned and run coffee shop, with such lovely owners and staff. You'll often see the owner working there (making the best coffee) and they are always so friendly and welcoming. It really feels like a little community hub, always bustling but never overwhelming. They've also switched the way they ask for tips (instead of percentage based, it's dollar amount, yay) and it makes the experience all the nicer and way easier to give a well intentioned and well deserved tip. They have some nice indoor seating, as well as a little patio for doggos during the sunshine. My top faves are: - oat milk latte w/ hazelnut (hot or iced!) - turkey and brie sandwich on cranberry bread - breakfast sandwich - chocolate croissant - chocolate cookies (see pic, so many choccy chunks!) Cannot recommend it enough!

I initially saw all the 5 star reviews and was a bit skeptic myself. But entering the cafe, it has a cozy atmosphere with various seating (indoor and outdoor). They have a camping aesthetic which adds to the coziness. Friendly owners that will chat with you too. I got their seasonal drink, apple cinnamon latte and it was delicious! Perfect for the fall vibes and wasn't too sweet. I easily would've drank 2 more cups if I had the time. I got the blueberry muffin which was baked fresh, so if you come in the morning it's still warm ☺️ the interior was fluffy and light and the exterior had a nice crust with a satisfying crunch. I was able to buy the tea bags they use for the apple cinnamon latte (tin not included, that is my own), so I am able to make it at home as well! Overall a lovely little cafe and I will come back whenever I am in vancouver 💕
