It's nice they're open 24/7 but their stock late at night is extremely limited. Yet the app still lets you order things they don't have which just leads to confusion and complications when you go to pick up your order. Also the dining area is closed off at night, which is understandable to a degree considering if they left it open it would just turn into a hangout for the local homeless population.
Props to the employees at this location, however. They deal almost exclusively with Vancouver's homeless population in the twilight hours. Which isn't necessarily bad at all, but some of these customers are of the more... unscrupulous variety let's just say, and I regularly see the employees being berated by them. But from what I've seen they deal with it really well and are patient and understanding.
Once I saw a dude asking everyone in the lineup, no not asking, demanding they buy him a donut. Upon refusal from everyone in the line he then demanded it from the employee who obviously said no. Buddy tweaked out and caused a huge scene. I tried talking sense into him and putting the situation into perspective. Eventually he just started laughing and said "you're right, you're right" and left haha.
Another time I saw a guy demand free cream cheese for his bagel. She said no it costs extra. He then got angry and said "do you know who I am? I'm a judo legend and former champion!!". True or not, that doesn't mean you get free cream cheese. Tom freaking Cruise doesn't get free cream cheese at Tim Hortons. And how is anyone, let alone a 20 year old resident from India going to be tapped into the local judo scene?! It was equal parts outrageous, unreasonable and hilarious. The judo master stormed out eventually like a big baby. I thought martial arts was all about discipline lol.
At the very least, working here is probably a goldmine for story material. I have several from only being in there a total of 15 times or so, maybe an hour or so...
Read moreWORST EXPERIENCE EVER DON'T GO and expose yourself. The manager is terribly rude and unworthy.
I arrived on the rainy cold night of July 3 2022. Scared because it is not a cute area of the city. The public transportation was about to close and I was told the bus station would be open, but no. And my bus would leave at 5 am, I needed to be there at least at 4:30 am.
I asked if they were open 24 hours, and if they had wifi before I ordered. The lady answered yes so I asked for a soup and went to sit down on a table.
A minute later they came to kick me out.
There is NO SIGN specifying that the counter remains open 24 hours, but not the dinning area.
The manager even told me to go and have my soup in Mc Donald's because they do have dinning zone open 24 hours a day. OUTRAGEOUS I asked him how he dared to say that? I couldn't eat this restaurant food in other restaurant installation. What would he say if it was the other way around? If I got here with a coffee and a hamburger from McDonald's and want to eat them here?
He even locked me in the dinning area and threatened to call the police if I didn't leave immediately. When I tried to go out, the gate was indeed locked. I asked him to open and so he replied Didn't you want to stay? GIVE ME A BREAK!!!
It was the girl who told me it would be open 24 hours, who tried to open the fence, and since it was locked and neither her was able to open it, so she opened me the main entrance so I could go out.
So I was not able to enjoy my soup, I had to get out again to the rain, and expose myself in a dark rainy night.
I AM NEVER GONNA SET FOOT AGAIN in any store of this DISRESPECTFUL Trademark. I should have called the police myself. They denied me the service I bought, and technically they kidnapped me for a couple of minutes and...
Read moreI’ve been a regular at the Tim Hortons on Main Street for a while now, and I have to say, it’s one of the best locations I’ve visited in terms of customer service. From the moment you walk in, the positive attitude of the staff is immediately noticeable. The team here is genuinely friendly, and it’s clear they take pride in making each customer feel welcome. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, they always greet you with a smile, and there’s a certain warmth in the way they interact that makes you feel like you’re valued.
What stands out most is how the staff goes above and beyond in making sure you have a great experience. If there’s ever a mistake with an order, they’re quick to correct it, without any hesitation or frustration. I’ve had a few minor issues over the months, like receiving the wrong size drink or a missing item, but the staff at this location always handle it with such professionalism. They’re quick to apologize and offer a solution, often going out of their way to ensure you’re satisfied, even when the issue wasn’t their fault.
What also impresses me is the speed and efficiency with which the team works, even during busy hours. Despite the line-ups and rushes, they remain calm, positive, and never seem to rush or make you feel like you're being inconvenienced. It’s obvious that customer satisfaction is a priority here, and they do their best to provide a smooth experience for everyone.
All in all, the Main Street Tim Hortons has created a welcoming environment where the staff genuinely cares about its customers. Their consistent, positive attitude makes every visit enjoyable and reminds me why I keep coming back. In a world where good customer service can sometimes be hard to find, this location...
