The Party Bazaar — Local services in Vancouver

For the third year in a row my daughter requested an extravagant birthday party and for the third year in a row The Party Bazaar was my go- to store to make this happen.

The balloon artist worked collaboratively with my daughter and I to design the most beautiful balloon bouquet. I was blown away (mind the pun) with the quality and selection of balloons. The creativity and hard work of the designer/balloon expert made this a centerpiece at the party and even had most parents taking pictures to serve as inspiration for their next party. Fortunately, the balloons floated high and stayed inflated for a week where I re used them for the family party the following weekend. I strongly suggest these for your next party.... beautiful and minimal clean up!!!

The staff at The Party Bazaar are helpful and kind and inclusive to all of their customers. They make you feel like your special day is important to them as well. Keep up the great work!

The store is clean and easy to access and lacks the chaos of the large chain party stores I have been to in the past.

Went in today when we saw they were open this BC Day Monday to get a few items for an upcoming birthday party. The staff looked to be in the Halloween stock change over mode. That must be why none of them greeted us entering the store, or asked if we needed help while looking at party decorations. Kudos to the staff member in the balloon area who was so concerned about the cleanliness of the store, that she swept the floor around us, while not interrupting such an important task by trying to help us as we discussed which balloons we wanted or if we should get a pre-made 'bouquet'. In fact, all 4 staff were so involved with other tasks the only words spoken to us were "50.95". Yup, the staff here are SO EFFICIENT the only communication will be your total cost. None of that wasteful small talk, or even pesky 'hello's and 'thanks'.

Terrible customer service.

Best story - was headed to a masquerade party and a friend we were giving a ride too was late. Closing at 6, we called 15 minutes before hand and said we were going to arrive just at 6 if they could stay open for a few minutes we just needed to run in and out with some masks. We of course promised to be really quick.

Not only did they say no, but were incredibly rude about it. I could understand not wanting to stay open for a few minutes, but nothing prevents you from being polite about it. But this is the standard of service (as others have posted here).

We arrived at 6:02. 4 staff members were literally standing around at the till chatting. They of course refused to open for us.
