Yeah you're right. This is where Emeri Matcha is. It’s a weekend-only pop-up from 8 to 4 I believe. I came around 3pm, waited about 15–20 minutes, which honestly isn’t bad considering every matcha cafe in Vancouver seems to have a line. I got the classic matcha with oat milk (default, I think). Even though they said it’s on the lighter side, it was quite strong for me. Imo, great quality and reasonably priced. Taste-wise, it’s similar to Paragon’s, but Paragon gives 16oz for just a few cents more compared to Emeri’s 12oz. I’ll definitely be back to try the other two on the menu. Another highlight is their staff, so friendly and genuinely kind. They kept thanking everyone in line for waiting and for visiting the pop-up, over and over. It’s a small gesture, but it really made me feel appreciated and welcomed. A lot of cafes skip this when they’re swamped during openings, which is understandable, but it stood out here 😊

Two Peas in a Pod is such a cute little spot. I have gone twice now, and everything has been so tasty and delightful. I highly recommend the truffle mushroom & swiss grilled cheese sandwich. For someone who doesn't even like mushroom, this is to die for. It has just the perfect amount of truffle. They also had a special one day - the braised beef mac & cheese and it was absolutely delicious! It came paired with a salad, which was fresh and accompanied by in house dressing. Do yourself a favour and check it out, they won't disappoint! Plus it's owned by two wonderful & amazing women who are so sweet - support local business!!! Kudos to Mario as well - excellent customer service!

Fabulous food! I eat here once a week and am consistently impressed with the menu and food. You can tell that the owner cares about what is being made because everything is literally so good! Staff are also super friendly and service is quick! Would recommend to anyone looking for a ā€œhome cookedā€ lunch

Been here a couple times but today I had the worst customer service experience of my life. Was going to grab a quick snack with a friend and when we went in, there weren’t a many options except for two pre-made sandwiches sitting in plastic packaging boxes.

I had picked one of them up to buy it, but quickly decided to check out another place instead first as I wasn’t 100% set on what was inside the sandwich, so I put it back. The owner came from the back around the cash register and started scolding me for touching the box and putting it back? She told me I couldn’t touch it… I’m confused because there was no signage in the store saying that if I touch something (mind you it was wrapped in fully protective plastic packaging) that I should buy it.

At this rate they shouldn’t allow customers to touch the door handle, or credit card machines, or the counters, or virtually anything really.

I am sincerely regretful that I brought my friend here to witness what was the most absurd confrontation of my entire life.

P.S. The sandwiches here are...

This review is for the cafĆ© itself, not the weekend matcha events. Every item I’ve tried has been exceptional; I haven’t had anything I didn’t truly enjoy. The tuna fish sandwich is hands-down the best I’ve ever had (get it grilled!). The olive oil cake is decadent. Today they had a choice of three soups (no one does that anymore!) and I got the mulligatawny, which was fantastic. There was also a pumpkin spice cookie that was delicious.

The space is cozy, quiet, clean, and comfortable, with friendly and fast service. Great value for money, too. I’ve been several times, and now that my office has moved closer, this cafĆ© will definitely be a regular part of my lunch rotation. An absolute hidden gem if you appreciate great food, great people, and supporting...
