Yummy to go is a good local takeout. The sushi is pretty tasty considering the owners aren’t Japanese but Chinese, so it’s not authentic. The rice isn’t as grainy as the higher quality places but the fish is rather fresh and the prices are very reasonable considering location and quantity. I really like the workers, they are hard working and very efficient. The place is a little run down so not a place to sit down and eat with friends and family but great for a solo dinner after work or simple take out. Call ahead ask them what you want and should be ready in 15 minutes. They have never disappointed me.

The food at Yummy To Go on Davie Street is excellent – fresh flavors, generous portions, and fair prices. A great spot for Japanese food lovers. However, there’s a major issue: they added a 5% surcharge when I paid with an IQ Bank prepaid card, which is not allowed in Canada since debit and prepaid cards cannot be surcharged. When I confronted the cashier, he said he has been working with credit cards for over 20 years and “knows how it works,” but that doesn’t change the fact that this practice is not compliant with the rules. Fantastic food, but customers should be aware of this unfair extra charge.

Yummy To Go is hands down one of the best sushi spots in town! The quality of the sushi is always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Whether I’m grabbing a quick lunch or ordering dinner to-go, the service is always fast and friendly. The staff are welcoming, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. Highly recommend the spicy tuna roll and the assorted sashimi—absolutely delicious! If you love great sushi with great service, Yummy To Go is a must-try.

We are here last Sunday after enjoying a wonderful bike ride around Stanley Park. We actually enjoyed the sushi very much however, the next day my partner and I were VERY sick. We both threw up multiple times and had shivers in bed. We atisipate it was from the wild salmon roll as our 2 year old son did not get sick while he had a taste of everything else we ate that day except the wild salmon (including things we ate and drank outside this restaurant). I tried to call Yumme To Go to tell them about the issue but the person who answered the phone didn’t speak English and hung up on me when I was trying to talk to him. No hard feelings as I am sure they were not purposely trying to make us sick and don’t speak English however, if anyone reads this and is nearby the restaurant this week please let them know to check their wild salmon, perhaps their wasabi or ginger too as those are the only things our young son didn’t eat and thankfully didn’t get...

This is the perfect take-out sushi spot in the West End. The location right by English Bay makes it ideal for grabbing a meal and eating on a bench or a log by the water. The entire menu is super affordable and everything is always delicious. This is consistently great sushi. I love the salmon sashimi, the chopped scallop roll, and the spicy tuna roll. The staff are very efficient and after ordering from there a couple of times I bet you will surprised to find that they will recognize your voice. They also always skip the tip screen on the Pay pad, which you don’t see very often in Vancouver.

Since the pandemic they haven’t allowed customers to enter the building so you need to make a phone call to place an order, and you will need to line up at the door to pay for and collect your food.

This is by far my favourite sushi restaurant in the...

I've been going there a while. The sushi is actually pretty good. Tonight though, it wasn't even busy, first he didn't give me brown rice. If you're gonna charge me for it, then you should use it. I asked and they fixed it. Got home, and no wasabi. None. For a wild salmon sashimi bento box... I dunno. Personally I really enjoy wasabi on my sushi, so for me, not getting any, when it's kind of a standard thing to include, makes for a disappointing meal.

They also get really backed up and I've spent 45 mins waiting to get my food here before, so tonight is kinda the last straw. I'll leave it at 2 stars because the sushi itself is pretty good. If you always double check your order for everything, and don't mind waiting, then go for it still... I'm gonna find...
