Unfortunately my experience at Zibo was pretty terrible. From start to finish, they really messed up on everything. We had reservations for 8:00pm and were on time, their table wasn’t ready so they had us go to the bar (which was fine). Halfway through our drinks the hostess came to tell us that our table was almost ready and to put our drinks on the two trays on the bar for them to bring out to us. They brought one tray and forgot the other on the bar (our drinks were left unattended for a good 10 minutes before we finally walked over to the bar and asked someone to bring them to us, we weren’t allowed to walk them 20 steps to our table). We finally got our drinks and finished them, they never asked if we wanted another. Supper arrived and their salmon tartar was terrible. To start the color of the salmon was off. I love tartar and I’ve never tasted fishy salmon ... I didn’t cause a scene or become angry, I simply told the waitress that it didn’t taste right and that I didn’t want to take the chance and eat raw fish that was expired. She never offered me anything else or asked if I wanted something else. She literally just stormed off with my plate. From where we were sitting we had a clear view into the kitchen, even from across the room. We actually witnessed the waitress taking a bite of my plate .... what the hell!? That seriously made me question the integrity of the cleanliness of the entire restaurant. Who does that? Eat off of a strangers plate? She must not have noticed our gasps because she came back to our table moments after just to try to tell me that her “manager” had tried my plate and that it tasted normal. That’s disgusting. I explained that I understood her frustration but that if that was how their salmon tartar normally tasted that I did not want another. She stormed off again, once more not offering to get me anything else. By then my whole table had finished eating. I had not been offered another drink, and I had no food. The manager shows up finally and goes on and on about how no one else has complained about their salmon and that the color was normal and that all of their restaurants used the same supplier for fish. Then she tried really hard to make me feel bad about how they had brought out a fresh batch of salmon and explained that I should have let them make me a new one after listening to the waitress swear it tasted normal only 10 minutes ago, yeah no thanks ... I again explained that if that’s what their salmon tastes like normally, not to waste their time or food making me a new one because it simply wasn’t good. Again she could have offered to get me something else but she didn’t, no one did. Not to mention my drink stayed empty the whole time. When the waitress came to take the dessert order, she ACTUALLY skipped me ahahaha .. honestly at this point I didn’t even care anymore. My husband ordered a “Key Lime Pie” off of their dessert menu and I told him I’d have a bite of his. Dessert is served and both me and my husband both look at what they called a “Key Lime Pie” on their dessert menu and burst out laughing! It was clearly a lemon tart pie. As yellow as can be with the fluffy icing on top. It could have been a simple mistake, however, they had no lemon desserts on their menu. I personally don’t like lemon tarts. So I’m sad to say that I enjoyed nothing at this restaurant and I won’t be returning and there is nothing anyone can say or do to change that at this point. I don’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. And I will continue to discourage people from going to the Zibo restaurant....
Read moreWell a disappointing experience, service was mediocre and very very long...finally after more than 45 minutes we get our food. All except one who was sitting at our table, so yes they were part of our group ! We started eating, waited another 15 plus minutes and they deliver a child size sandwich literally !! Derek the manager came and apologized for the kids portion - the kitchen made a mistake ????? There were no children sitting at our table ???? HE brings back another sandwich that looked a lot like the first one, just burnt around the edges. Did I mention it was a pulled pork sandwich, they forgot the pulled pork ?!?!? A side of Cesar and they forgot the dressing, those who had fries well I guess better cold than not at all .... His apologizes for the delays and blames this on the lack of staff and training of staff in the kitchen. WOW and here we are sitting wondering how confident we should be eating the food in front of us !?! Derek's prize comment of the evening "If this experience is bad you will go and pout in the corner, but you will be back cause there is really nothing that compares to this restaurant in this area" Arrogance !
Price really not worth it - 130$ for what we got humm overpriced !
I wish you all the success and I hope you take your reviews seriously and improve your service, food and presentation, hence providing a good experience to those who choose to dine there. an experience worthy of the people in Vaudreuil. My turn to apologize as I will not be coming back to Zibo, plenty of great restaurants in Vaudreuil to...
Read moreHearing the reviews of the other Zibos, we expected more. Here’s our experience...
It was 45 minutes before the food arrived, then another 5 to 10 minutes for a missing plate (pulled pork sandwich ). The missing plate ended up being for a kids meal, not a joke, we were told that as we ask why there was 1 slice of what they call pulled pork. They took it back and brought back another, same thing!?
Due to the wait we were told by Derrick that either a coffee, dessert or digestive drink would be free. With the pulled pork story we got stuck with the children one but was now free.
Now, the food is ok, but I’m sorry for those who think it’s enough for the price, it is definitely not! And yes, it’s good, but not that good that a burger with a few fries should cost 18$.
Derrick is a nice guy, apologizing for everything, now here’s the kicker, this woman with glasses passes by and I stop her as we were missing a bill, I said the manager (who we though was Derrick) was supposed to bring it back to us. The woman, who never introduced herself says “Derrick is just some guy that walks around all the Zibos, I am the manager”!?!?
Well lady, whatever your name is, before that comment, we might have come back, but as a manager, you should be the one going around apologizing for long wait time, missing and untrained staff, and maybe learn much more about customer service yourself!
I will not be coming back, we have many other better choices...
