Rockaberry — Restaurant in Vaudreuil-Dorion

Wonderful little café/bar restaurant. Consistently good food. The menu is not extensive, but everything they serve is good. The Louisiana chicken and the potato wedges in particular is a very fresh and flavourful plate. The BLT is also delicious.

Drinks are delicious with an extensive menu and the willingness to be flexible with customer requests. I say this in a bit of a tongue in cheek manner, as they often make some special stuff for me.

This serves as an excellent segue to discuss the real treat at Rockaberry’s Vaudreuil which is, aside from the delicious desserts (the blueberry pies and espresso martinis are to die for), the service. This establishment seems essentially to be a café with great food, but the staff truly elevate the experience. Thanks in particular to Megan for her work as a server and manager. Love their Key Lime pie. BUT... every time we go there. We're told they don't have anymore. (5 times out of 6). The 1 time they actually had the Key Lime pie, we purchased a whole pie out of fear of them running out again. We sat down to eat one of the pieces before going to the movies and we were asked to leave because you can't buy a whole pie and eat it there. (We get that because of the taxes not charged on a whole pie). But, the attitude of the person telling you makes all the difference. We went back last night to buy some again. Guess what? "We don't have anymore". If you had any brains. You would realize that you're ALWAYS running out. And therefore purchase more. Oh and guess what? You would actually make more money by having that extra pie to sell! Last night was the last straw. No Key Lime pie again. I am blacklisting...

Minus 5 ⭐️!!! My family and I walked in February 12th around 9:30 pm for some bday desert. They refused to serve us cause we were 7 people without a reservation. Fine, it’s the policy I respect that. We told them we didn’t mind splitting the groupe up. They said they were short staffed. We replied we don’t mind waiting the time it takes to be served. No rush. Manager said now that she knows we’re 7 and not 2 groups, she refused to serve us. that excuse sounded petty. We left and spent our money somewhere else. Did she not think of the wait staff who would have profited from the tips of 7 people ordering overpriced slices of cake? Please help me understand the logic behind these decisions?!?
