This visit was an unusually pleasant eye-opener: Despite being unable to receive my Americano because the "machine is not working" and not able to transition to a Flat White because "the machine is not working" and not being able to get my receipt after paying because "the printer is out of paper" and not knowing what our order number was because we never got our receipt and (worst of all) receiving a Citrus type tea after ordering Green Tea, after calling out our unknowm number a couple of times, the person who took our order recognised me and said it was my order. After receiving our meals, we hungrily dug in. The food was fresy made and delicious!! The result was so good that the previously mentioned bumps in the road were easily forgiven and forgotten. There were 2 workers in the back and only 1 in the front. The front facing worker did a great job of staying calm and serving the seemingly never-ending line. Normally, I would be grumpy that I drove 30 minutes passed 2 of our usual beeakfast houses to dine at this A&W. But, in hindsight and with greater perspective, the overall visit was a great insight in to the daily happenings of a busy and successful retail operation. I am sincerely Happy for this location's team. They did the industry a good service and made their customers and ownership proud. Would I come back? Absolutely! This team at thia location have earned my Respect and admiration. This place should be a textbook example of how a business should be run and managed through crisis. Greater than job team!! Read moreWe used to dine-in fast food restaurants for our food safety research papers and for blogs during different times to check food quality and crew members behaviour for customers, for this restaurant, we found many flaws for day shift staff first of all there behaviours were not pleasant even there manager behaviour was rude for customers and favourable for only few staff members, she only listen to some staff rather than customers, while at night I visited the store many time, surely nights are overcrowded as compared to morning. And surprisingly two girls in night vs day staff, but nights staff are friendly and our orders are fresh but in day food was cold,they make them in bulk like fries and chicken. However in night only two girls manage the restaurant, atleast in night they need 3 people, but from last couple of weeks sometimes i saw only one girl in the morning even her voice feels like she was scared & tired. I am predicting this food chain manager and higher management gona ruine the A&W name. I am giving one star due to day time crew members behaviour, not fresh food and most importantly current Mangers. She needs to improve her behaviour and needs to ensure high standards of customer service rather than favouring there crew. Read moreThis location is terrible. Slow, over-priced, and low quality. Last time I checked, the whole wheat buns are $.75 each when other locations charge $.25. Actually, I remember it use to be even more, but they probably got flak.
My husband and I once thought we’d treat ourselves to a root beer float, and since it’s right around the corner from us, we headed over. After getting the floats we realized they were dead flat. We notified the server who said the drinks were fine. After tasting once more we confirmed they were flat. She took them back and said she would fix the problem then redo them. We got them back and they were flatter than flat. My husband and I have both worked fast food jobs in the past, so we tried to explain that she needed to change the CO2 tank. She clearly had no idea what this was, and assured us they were fine. We finally got a refund from her and went to a different location, where the drinks were fine. A 10 min excursion turned into an hour waste of time.
This has happened many times and also constantly get our orders wrong, so we’ve decided to frequent a different store going forward. I am convinced that all the 5 star reviews for this specific location is for A&W in general (which is a great company), or fabricated by the staff members to boost the franchise location...
