La Grill — Restaurant in Vaughan

We had lunch/dinner on father's day here and the service was 0 out of 100! Thats the only reason I put 1 star. Restaurant was not busy at all. It had about 3-4 tables with customers. We were a family of 7 and the food took about 50 minutes to be prepared. Staff were really slow and confused. Not sure how they do work when it’s more busy. Nobody came and asked if we needed anything like water, more drinks, etc. we had to call them every time we needed and I wish anything we asked for was done in promptly time. We had to repeat our request 3-4 times to 2-3 different employees. When it was time to place an order: 1. For the plates we added fries and tabouleh which is extra $2. The waitress mentioned that we had the choice of doing half fries and half tabouleh instead because it comes with one choice. 2. We agreed on the half and half. She brings the 3 dinner plates with fries only and only one plate was half fries and half tabouleh. When I mentioned it to her, she seemed confused and said “no you didn't ask for it like that because it comes with one choice” when she got one plate right. I didn't argue with her further. We have been here multiple times years ago and the service was 100% much better. I hope management provides more training for these waitress/ waitresses. The food was great. I had my bridal shower here and was so pleased! I've been coming for years for lunch with the gang from work. It's one of my favourite restaurants. I can be pretty picky with food and this place has continued to make the cut for me. The food is made in house and fresh. You'll wait longer for your food but it will be worth it! Better a fresh juicy kebab off the grill then some dried up chucks of meat that have been sitting there for hours that comes out of the kitchen in 10 minutes. The girls that work there are sweethearts, for my shower they let me bring in all my desserts, centrepieces, prizes etc the night before. And to my surprise when I got there the day of my shower, they had everything in place! My centerpieces, favours and games table where set up and ready to go! Which is a rarity. I've been in more bridal parties then I care to mention and that stuff is always the responsibility of the host. So you have to either get there yourself early to set up, or send a friend you can trust to get it done. I was grateful they had gone the extra mile. It saved time for me and my girls, and added in keeping some stress off us that day. The food was a hit with my guests and service was on the ball. All around good time and experience! Taleene and Christina were the standout stars, going above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. Their attentiveness and warm hospitality made us feel incredibly welcomed and valued throughout the entire event. The food was nothing short of extraordinary—every dish was mouthwatering and prepared to perfection. Each bite was bursting with flavor, and our guests couldn't stop raving about it. From the appetizers to the main courses, everything was beautifully presented and served at the perfect temperature. Every detail was meticulously taken care of, and it truly felt like a seamless experience. The atmosphere was perfect for such a special occasion, and the staff ensured that all of pour needs were met. We would highly recommend this place for any function, big or small. The entire experience was beyond our expectations, and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out.
