Sayal Electronics — Local services in Vaughan

All kinds of cool things in this store. I just wish there was a version of this that was well-run. Staff doesn't seem to care about the customers in their store. They hang out together at the back and seem to be put off at having to help customers. The few times I've been there were mid-week, day-time and there were generally no other customers, maybe one other. I really got the feeling that I was a bother and not really welcome there. Time to give up bricks and mortar, Sayal.

Update: Pro tip, if you call ahead with the stock # from their website, they're not bad over the phone. Ask them where in the store the part is located and they'll give the carousel number. You can then just walk into the store, go directly to the carousel, grab your part and go to cash. No need to...

These guys have a weird customer service model. First, they are unavailalbe, then wehn you ask them a question they hardly help you. I wanted a solder tip and this guy didn't even look up and he said "which soldering iron do you have", I told him one from Canadian tire, he scoffed, smirked and said "No!" and that was it. He kept digging around in his box. I went to go find it myself. Did they have it? Yes. Did it fit my soldering iron? Yes.

What the hell are these guys thinking? They also talk about their clients in their own language.

I have visited Sayal Electronics for a few years now and I have to say it is a great electronics store with a great variety of batteries, tools, electronic components (cords, electronic circuits), cables, speakers, resistors, STEM toys and experiments, and much more.
