Amadeus Patisserie has been my trusted destination for beautifully crafted cakes, especially when it comes to celebrating special occasions like family birthdays. Over the years, I’ve purchased various cakes from them, and each one has been an absolute showstopper. The presentation is always stunning, with intricate designs that make the cakes look almost too good to eat. The attention to detail in their decoration is unmatched, and it’s clear that a lot of care and creativity goes into each cake. Whether it’s a simple gathering or a grand celebration, these cakes always manage to impress and become the centrepiece of the event.
That said, while the visual appeal of the cakes is undeniable, I’ve found them to be a bit too sweet at times. It’s not a deal-breaker by any means, but I do think there’s room for improvement. A slight reduction in sugar would allow the flavours to shine even more and cater to those who prefer a more balanced taste. I genuinely hope Amadeus considers tweaking their recipes in this regard because it would elevate their cakes from being just beautiful to absolutely perfect.
One of the highlights of my recent visits has been the noticeable interior revamp at Amadeus. The renovation has breathed new life into the space, creating a fresh and inviting atmosphere. The layout is now divided into two distinct sections: the cake area and the bakery cafe. The cake area, where I’ve spent countless moments choosing the perfect cake, remains as charming as ever. The addition of the bakery cafe is a wonderful touch, offering a broader range of delights, including croissants, small cakes, and a selection of coffees. The variety adds a new dimension to the experience, making Amadeus not just a place to pick up a cake but also a spot to enjoy a relaxing moment with a pastry and a cup of coffee.
The croissants, in particular, have caught my eye. They look incredibly flaky and buttery, and I’m eager to try them on my next visit. The thought of pairing one with a fresh coffee in the cosy cafe space sounds like the perfect way to spend an afternoon. It’s exciting to see Amadeus expanding their offerings and providing more reasons to visit beyond just their famous cakes.
In conclusion, Amadeus Patisserie continues to be a top choice for anyone looking to add a touch of elegance to their celebrations. The cakes are as beautiful as ever, and the revamped interior adds a new level of enjoyment to the experience. While a slight reduction in sweetness would make their offerings even better, the overall quality and presentation are still outstanding. I’m looking forward to my next visit, not just to pick up another cake, but to explore the new bakery cafe and, of course, to finally try those tempting croissants. Amadeus has always been about quality, and with these recent updates, they’ve managed to enhance the overall experience even further.

Read moreOverhyped bakery. Very disappointed and wont be coming back. I know this bakery since they opened up and they had their ups and downs just like any other business. But when you purchase same cake in the past 2 months and it tastes every time different makes you wonder if they even follow any recipes. Bough 1 “pistachio delight” in the beginning of October and that cake was enjoyed by everyone, we finished it within one hour. The mousse tasted like pistachios and it had grinded pistachios in it and some sprinkled on the side of the cake, the cake had a very thick layer of cherry jam/or syrup and whole cherries in it. You could taste that the whole cake’s dough was soaked in it and it was very juicy. The combination of pistachios and sourness of the cherries was in deed delightful. Now the other 2 “pistachios delights” I’ve got were nothing compared to the first one. Second was bought in mid of October and third just yesterday. The last 2 cakes tasted the same but nothing compared to what I've bought in the beginning of October. This time the mousse was very creamy and sweet and tasted like sugar, it didn’t even have a hint of pistachios in the flavour and taste. This time "the grinded pistachios" were sprinkled a bit on the outside side of the cake only. And I can assure you it weren't pistachios. It tasted more like coloured sunflower seeds/pumpkin seeds. The dough of the cake was super dry and reminded me a crunchy pie, this time it did not have any layer of cherry syrup/jam just couple cherries here and there. The cake was dry, tasteless, very sweet and we did not enjoy it. Also, yesterday I have purchased a poppy seed pie and it was expired and hard like a rock. It feels like Amadeus stopped carrying about their image and customers. Will not be coming back to this...

Wow! Wow! Wow! What an incredible transformation! Totally unrecognizable from my last visit! The current, huge retail area, adorned with crystal chandeliers, modern chrome displays and contemporary multi-color wall lightings and murals, combined to create a gorgeous space packed with Parisian/Big Apple vibe.
The visually captivating and mouth-watering array of artisan baked breads, cakes, Viennoise and pastries are more than impressive. Some uncommon and unique creations like ‘ St. Honore Croissant ‘ and ‘ Croissant dotted with Passion fruit and mango bits ‘ were amongst the stunning displays!
For this initial visit and playing it safe, I bought a handful of the following to try ( and compare with my current favorite - DUO ): Pain au Chocolat, Almond Croissant, Red Velvet and Dark Chocolate.
First off, the price point of the two are pretty similar. Appearance-wise, IMO, Amadeus offers slightly larger size products whilst most DUO’s creation and finishing are more refined and sophisticated. Viennoise from both places are equally crispy, light, flakey and fluffy though DUO’s offerings are more Parisian like and have a much more pronounced and gorgeous buttery aroma! As for the dessert pastries? Taste profile of Amadeus’s creations, though attractive and enjoyable, is a touch on the sweet side…. maybe more suitable for the Western palate? On the other hand, the degree of sweetness of most DUO’s products are more toned-down.
Verdict!.....Amadeus products are definitely a pleasure to eat, however, though good, IMHO, DUO creates slightly more superior and...
