Received DQ's coupons so visited with my family of 4. We first ordered a 2-can-dine meal with 1 coupon. After which, we intended to order some desserts with 2 other coupons (i.e. 1 coupon for a discounted dip small cone, 1 coupon for a regular priced blizzard with another discounted blizzard and a separate regular dip cone at regular price). However, the staff there refused to accept 2 further coupons, saying only 1 further coupon can be used with the reason being "only 1 coupon per 2 people" and emphasized that "this is even written on the coupon". I pointed out that, in fact, the coupon stated "1 coupon per customer per visit" and we are 4 customers so there should actually be 3 more coupons left to use on this visit. The staff insisted to refuse acceptance and, this time changing her reason, arguing "but you came in as a family". I was awe-struck as I cannot comprehend how that is at all relevant. I said "there is no mentioning anything about or against a 'family' on the coupon". But the staff still refused for no good reason. I felt strongly disappointed and disrespected but did not continue to argue with her. Obviously, she was making things up along the way to make things difficult for us for god-knows-why. We ended up leaving and purchasing nothing at all.
I would not like to say that this could be a discrimination against family status merely because we walked in as a "family". Nonetheless, the staff's reasons for refusal changed arbitrarily and she appeared to not be familiar with the rules written on the coupons at all. She was throwing out businesses for no good reason.
It would be useless for the company to mail out coupons as a promotion to attract customers and businesses with staff as such, who does not comply with the rules written black & white on the coupons but decided to rewrite and invent new rules on her own. The company would only be printing and mailing coupons for nothing but waste of money.
This incident is damaging to the company's image and reputation.
Better staff training is definitely necessary at...
Read moreThe customer service is not very good. I made my order paid for my food and waited almost an hour to get what I ordered. It is understandable if unforseen circumstances may have delayed me getting my stuff but no explanation was given or even an apology. I waited while many other customers came on after me, was served with what looked like the same things as mine and left. I asked the if there was an issue as to why I was waiting that long, the guest service person asked me what my order was, I told her and she came back saying I my order would be ready in 5 minutes.
Even at that time no apology was given. My order came incorrectly which caused me to wait an additional 10 minutes.
I am not trying to be petty and I am very understandable that in the restaurant industry it is difficult when you are working the drive thru and the walk in customers. I patiently waited and received no apology. I think it would have been distasteful if I had resorted to be boisterous especially when I had 3 hungry children waiting on their treat.
This may not be the reflection of all DQ Franchise and maybe it was a one-off bad experience for me. I can say that I will definitely not be returning to that oulet as the experience left...
Read moreIf I could give the food 0 stars I would!!!!!! First things first... I love the flame thrower burger... with a passion. It's my favorite fast food burger. I've never had a bad experience until I went to this location. I asked for extra flame thrower sauce on my burger, which seems like a fairly tame request when it comes to fast food and well as you can see in the photos I posted... this is what I got. A burger box FILLED with sauce... the entire bun top AND bottom completely soaked with sauce to the point there they weren't even edible, there was so much sauce i felt like i was being pranked or something. ... the Patty's were burnt and tasted awful... I took 1 bite and there was SO MUCH SAUCE spilling out everywhere I just threw my entire burger out. Just disgraceful in every way. Imagine paying for food prepared so poorly you can't even eat it. Dairy Queen needs to take a very close look at this location and it's employees and figure their stuff out. Perhaps there is a reason the place is always empty. 0/10 you couldn't pay...
