normally i never write reviews, this will literally be my first because im so upset and have nothing better to do than to vent on the internet, but they really did upset me today so i feel the need to point out a few things about their delivery service. when I called to order it was 7pm, the lady put me "on hold" right away by literally placing the phone down on the table so i could still hear everything that was happening in the restaurant, after about 3 minutes of being 'on hold' i started saying helloooo really loud because i thought she forgot about me! i could hear her taking other calls and other peoples delivery telephone orders and not mine. so i hang up and call back. the line was busy. i call back in 10 minutes and she answers again and i say i want to order for delivery and again "can you hold' i said no i need to order first. she took my address phone # and order and i had to repeat myself just to make sure she got it because she seemed pissed that i said no i cant hold, she repeated nothing back to me, didnt tell me my order total or repeat back to me my address or how much delivery would be if they even have a delivery charge. she did however say "we're quite busy tonight should be one hour' i'm like okay thats fine. now, note i dont live far, one major intersection away on the same street! but i dont drive so i thought i'd order in for once since my sister was in town for the weekend and i didnt want to go out. the delivery didnt show up for 2.5 hours! by then i had a hunger headache and was really upset. i even had called at around 2 hour mark and told her to cancel it that i wasn't happy that i had to wait and nobody told me i would have to wait so much longer than i was quoted and she said sorry and that she would call the driver to tell him but that he had left a long time ago with my order. he still shows up anyways and starts knocking and knocking. i answered just to tell him that he should have been called that i had cancelled because he's an hour late. that i wasnt happy and i didnt want to pay for the order and he said okay and left. what was odd was that he put the order in my hands then took it out of my hands. i dunno, i thought at least i would be offered it at half off? it wasnt even warm i could feel it ice cold. but no it was just weird experience for delivery for me. normally i make it a point to go sit down at the restaurant and during the sit down service i never had a problem but i feel like i should have been notified that it would be late at the very least. very disappointed in the...
Read moreWorst service ever I am a regular customer and I always order from this store, this is not the first time where the staff has been rude and disrespectful to their customers. I asked for 2 golden California, and a salmon avacado. Instead they gave me 2 golden California and 1 avacado salad. My daughter came to pick it up, and she realized the mistake and told them that we ordered a salmon avacado roll. The cashier named Cindy who I believe is the store manager or owner started to yell at her and saying no you guys ordered a avacado salad. My daughter said it probably was a misunderstanding but they got all mad and gave her attitude. She waited for them to make her one salmon avacado but once again they didn’t hear and somehow made 2. Than they asked to her pay extra when She said I asked for only one. The cashier stated to yell at her again and kept saying it was all her fault. My daughter was saying u guys didn’t hear me properly but no it was apparently “all of her fault and she isn’t ever clear”. She came back to me crying and I went to go speak to them. They were yelling at me too and wouldn’t take the blame for their mistake. I have 3 food businesses and I know how to talk to a customer. If you make a mistake you apologize and fix it, you don’t blame it back on your customer. They are always rude and I have constantly given chances. Read moreWe ignored all the bad reviews on here and I'm glad we did! We have our regular all you can eat sushi place near home but it was closed today. We decided to try Ginza instead even though it was a few dollars more.
First their selection is quite good for an all you can eat. We had the miso soup, seaweed salad and mango salad to start. Seaweed and mango were perfectly done and the miso was not overly salty but also not very hearty. That's fine since it's just a starter.
Next we had a few rolls along with a few pork dumplings and some salmon. All of these were done really well and the sizes of the avocado portions and salmon were quite generous. So far so good.
After trying many of their rolls (none were bad) we went back for more seaweed and mango salad since they were that good. Finished the meal with a classic green tea iced cream which was the perfect consistency as well just the right balance of sweetness and bitterness.
Service throughout the meal was very good and courteous, never had to repeat ourselves or reorder because they forgot about something.
All in all a great experience and my wife and I had a great dinner date for under $50. If I have to complain about anything it would be that their tea is not great but I think it's just because they burnt it by boiling it too hot. Easy enough to fix that.
