Grodzinski North — Restaurant in Vaughan

First time in this bakery. Challah and pastries are of decent quality; nothing extraordinary though. There are definitely better options available, but not bad at all. 4/5. Service: 1/5 is too much. There were very few customers, but we had to wait to be served. After I paid, my wife brought two more cookies, and the lady who served us counted those items I already paid for, once again. I had to tell her about this in a good faith it was just an honest mistake, although strange: as I said, it was not crowded. But the lady was not apologetic: "No, you did not pay", - that was her response. I had a bad luck of choosing a "No receipt" option after having paid ... well, I do not like being duped and asked the lady to double check. Custom Cake Order - Had a positive experience last week with a custom cake that I ordered from Grodzinski Bakery. I had contacted several bakeries in Toronto and Thornhill, but none would agree to deliver to our waterfront venue. The only place that agreed without hesitation to deliver to our venue was Grodzinski, and they were also very flexible to accommodate a range of design options. While I had some vague design ideas of my own, I ended up going with their suggestion of scanning a photo onto the cake and they would decorate around it. The cake turned out perfectly. My husband and the guests loved the design, and it was also very tasty (a mix of white and chocolate cake layers with mocha icing - absolutely delicious). My first time writing reviews on bakery/resto--I just had to give a praise to Grodzinski Bakery. I ordered 60 personalized cookies for my drive-by baby shower and they were phenomenal both appearance and taste-wise. They weren't overly sweet like typical cookies with icing and the baker was amazing with the details on the cookies.
