I managed to stop by after working a night shift, so I arrived around 10 am on a Wednesday. There was already a customer in there picking up some goods! The gentleman that was working there greeted me right away and attended to my needs, inquiring about my visit.

Service was amazing. The employee took a lot of time to explain their products and works of the place while keeping great casual conversation.

While contemplating their drink menu, I was inquired if I wanted caffeine or non-caffeinated and when responded with coffee, I was inquired if I enjoyed chocolate - when yes was the answer, he recommended a MOCACINO. There was the choice of white chocolate, milk, or dark. I opted for the dark which was 70% cocoa and absolutely perfect. The mocacino was bitter in all the right ways and rich but not heavy. They use high quality chocolate, melt it with the espresso shots, then top with frothed milk. No syrups! I was also told about their tea freddo which has a strawberry (and kiwi?) tea blend, paired with lemon, for a refreshing beverage which sounds so nice for the summer time... Will return for that one!

During this time, they were still working on setting up their display and putting the cakes out. I was offered to read the signs in the meantime to see what peaked my interest. I ended up opting for the PISTACHIO LEMON MERINGUE. It is a sweet treat from that consists of a pistachio dacqouise, dairy free lemon cream, and meringue. As I predicted, the lemon component, reminding me of lemon curd, was quite tart and bright in flavor. Despite that, this overall treat was much sweeter than expected - personally, too sweet. Though the pistachios gave off some contrast in texture, the overall mouth feel is quite soft and the nutty flavors are overpowered by the citrus notes. The meringue itself is light and airy, and I love its toasted finish.

My last item was a pastry of choice, it was a hard decision but I opted for their CINNAMON ROLL. Lumiere has a unique take on this classic with its twists instead of swirls and a lemon glaze to top it all off! This was so fragrant to bite into, with a texture similar to that of a croissant. It's minimally sweet which I really enjoyed.

They also have other offerings such a sourdough which looked amazing.

The shop itself is very aesthetic with its minimal design and elegance. The place looked spotless. This would be a lovely spot to dine-in and catch up...

Bonjour mes amis! Let me tell you about Lumiere Patisserie, the enchanting French bakery that has brought a slice of Paris to Toronto. This place is not your average bakery - it's a culinary wonderland that will transport you to the streets of Paris with its chic decor and heavenly aroma of freshly baked pastries and bread.

As you step inside, you're greeted by the most beautifully presented items that make you feel like you're receiving a gift. It's not just the food that's remarkable, but also the attention to detail in the packaging and branding. Every item is perfectly presented, making you feel special and appreciated.

And the food, oh my goodness! The pastries are a work of art, with their perfectly made layers and buttery goodness. The Cleopatra is particularly divine. The petite fours are equally as delicious, with their delicate layers and perfect balance of sweetness.

The team at Lumiere Patisserie is so welcoming and friendly that you'll feel like you're part of the family and will greet you with a Bonjour every time you step in. You can't miss the quirky touches either, such as Nadav, the incredibly knowledgeable baker who knows everything there is to know about breads, coffees, and mustache growing. And Or the pastry chef, who invents crazy new ideas that keep popping up on the menu.

The hygiene and standards at Lumiere Patisserie are top-notch, so you can enjoy your treats in a safe and clean environment. This place truly has it all - from the innovative menu items to the quirky touches and delightful experience.

In conclusion, Lumiere Patisserie is a must-visit for anyone who loves good food and a charming atmosphere. Thank you to the team for bringing a slice of Paris to Toronto and making us feel like we're in a French boulangerie. I'll definitely be back soon for more bread, pastry, and coffee goodness (and maybe some hair grooming tips from Nadav...

**I shared how I felt during my visit. And YES, you telling me to sit on a corner seat where there were cake boxes was not appreciated. And NO, I don’t just leave a one star review to any businesses. (Read my reviews, I don’t enjoy giving 1 star, I had my reasons) I didn’t feel appreciated at all. It was just the approach. No apology on moving etc, it was just like “if you don’t mind…” then when I asked where I should sit, you were telling me to move to a corner last seat, and you said “here, you can sit.” That pretty much tells you that you are moving me to the corner. I chose to leave, yes, because of the way you were saying things, not because I didn’t want to accommodate YOUR 2 customers, I didn’t feel like you were treating me like a customer. The right way is to be more empathetic and say “SORRY , is it ok if you…?”

I did say how I felt when I was there, and if you cannot take that as a business, then I don’t know what to tell you. I am also disappointed.

*Omg, can’t believe this! Now I am lying. Oh wow, only when I asked where should I sit, then you mentioned to sit on the very last seat at the bar, where it was close to papers and cardboard boxes were! In any case, whatever…. Not even worth fighting back. It’s a SHAME, just like you said…

First time here and my experience was not so great. I had to pick up my daughter across the tutoring place, so decided to grab a coffee and wait for 30 minutes at the cafe. I was having my drink and they asked me to leave. They didn’t have enough seat and because the owner and his customer wanted to have the corner seat. Wouldn’t go back. I did order my drink and I was there for less than 15 minutes. There were other customers on the tables who were there longer.

Their latte was just ok and the cheese danish was dry.

Not so pleasant service, not recommended. Didn’t appreciate them asking me to leave just because I was...

A Croissant Lover's Paradise I recently had the pleasure of visiting Lumiere Patisserie, a cozy little bakery and I must say, it was an experience to remember. As a self-proclaimed croissant lover, I am always on the lookout for the perfect flaky, buttery pastry, and I can confidently say that here they serve up the best croissants in Vaughan. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted by the delightful aroma of freshly baked pastries. The display case was a sight to behold, showcasing an array of golden-brown croissants that looked almost too perfect to eat. After much deliberation, I settled on an almond butter croissant. The first bite into the almond croissant was pure bliss. The delicate layers practically melted in my mouth, revealing a rich, buttery flavor that was perfectly complemented by a hint of sweetness. The exterior had just the right amount of crispiness, giving way to a soft, pillowy interior. It was evident that each croissant was crafted with care and attention to detail. Beyond the exceptional croissants, the ambiance of Lumière Pâtisserie was inviting and charming. The decor exuded a rustic elegance, and the staff was incredibly friendly and passionate about their craft. It was evident that this was a place where the love for baking shone through in every dessert. In conclusion, if you're in search of the perfect croissant, look no further. Their dedication to quality and flavor is truly unmatched, and I can't wait to return to sample more of their delectable creations. Whether you're a croissant lover or simply appreciate a good pastry, visit Lumière Pâtisserie.
