I was looking forward to Hibachi Teppenyaki when a friend suggested it to our party of 8. Unfortunately things went downhill very quickly after we were seated. The server seemed very friendly at first but didn’t last very long. The main server tried to impose the group menu onto our party. With the group menu, everyone in your party gets the same group menu foods that are chosen. At first he attempted to deceive us and told us that the group menu is our only option. I tried to ask a secondary server if that was legitimate but they were of no help - often coming to the table to drop small items off, also with no smile or personality. When I insisted to our main server that we all didn’t want the same thing and that we wanted the normal menu instead of the group menu, he changed from friendly to extremely unpleasant. It didn’t get any better when 7 out of our group of 8 ordered waters. We could literally see the smile disappear from his face. And it never returned throughout our time there. I guess it’s more work for them if everyone orders their own meals as opposed to a group meal. But the server we ordered from wasn’t even preparing our food so I found it unnecessary that he became so unpleasant. I personally ordered the crispy wontons as an app, the steak and shrimp teppanyaki dinner course with chicken fried rice and spicy miso soup. The spicy miso soup was good but not spicy at all. The crispy wontons were over fried - please refer to my photo where you can see they are clearly burnt and not even close to a golden fried wonton. The fried rice was lacking salt and any sort of flavour. The steak was also very much lacking any sort of seasoning, flavour or rub. The shrimp were also underwhelming. Both the proteins were incredibly bland. This is a Japanese cuisine restaurant and not a single pinch of any sort of Japanese seasoning or flavours on any of the foods. A secondary server, who looked like he hated his life, served us two sauces on the side, one weird brown one to eat with the chicken and beef and one white to eat with shrimp. But no explanation even as to what the sauces are. I understand that part of this restaurant experience is the performance that the chef puts on but that too was kind of boring but by far not the worst part of this restaurant experience. He put on a small performance while making our bland food and served it to us. Afterwards he attempted to throw broccoli at us for us to catch it in your mouth. I guess if I was drunk, this might have been somewhat fun and maybe I wouldn’t have care about how much the food sucked. The entire restaurant - service as well as the food - is not worth it, especially at their price point. With the upgrades I got, my bill was close to $75 for just myself, all for a dinner plate that looks like I served it myself at a Mandarin Buffet. Except the food from a Mandarin Buffett actually has some flavour. If you go with a party, it seems they automatically add 15% gratuity. Good for them that I was with a group because my experience at this Hibachi Teppanyaki didn’t warrant even a $3.00 tip. The service was atrocious. No smiles, no professionalism, not even once did a server come to refill our waters. The food was dull and boring. No flavour, no seasoning. The chefs performance was passable but ultimately it’s a restaurant; where people go mainly to eat. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this Hibachi Teppanyaki to anyone. I feel this restaurant has no standards for their serving staff, the food has no connection to Japanese cuisine and therefore you’re just paying to go watch a chef cook your food for 10 minutes. Overall, it’s not worth it for the price that you pay. Go somewhere else.

Food: The food selection at Hibachi that was available was amazing. Meats and seafood were fresh and had no complaints at all. We all did the teppanyaki and we all got custom orders which I really appreciated. I tried the Chef’s Special which had Chicken, Steak & Shrimp with fried rice, miso soup and a salad. I definitely do recommend this as it was totally worth it and really filling. My friends got the chicken yakisoba which actually really amazed me as to how good it was compared to how simple the dish was. Another friend for the deluxe menu with the salmon and lobster and those were great too! The sauces that were served with the food was amazing and get the teriyaki sauce, it’s great too! For desert, I got the fried banana with mango ice cream and that was amazing too! Highly recommend. Drinks: We tried the Vodka mint lemonade and the Hibachi Special. Wasn’t too big a fan of the Hibachi Special, was very juicy and sweet but the lemonade was refreshing and nice but not a 10/10. Service: I’ll count the teppanyaki chef as service and he really made the experience super fun and enticing! Really enjoyed it and the other staff was super nice and efficient too which I did appreciate. Vibe: This place has amazing vibes for a big group party, an occasion or even a date. It’s truly a lot of fun. Value: I paid $61 with 15% tip, Chef’s Recommendation w/ chicken fried rice and desert. It was definitely steep but the experience was fun and the food was good.

We had dinner here with 7 adults and 5 kids ages 6, 11, 12, 13 and 14. We had reservations for 7:30pm, but had to wait until 8:15pm to get seated. There were 2 ladies working at the front. The first lady told us our whole party had to be there to be seated (which we understand). We had our party pulling in already anyways. When our whole party was there we were then given the excuse that they didn’t have enough cooks and were just waiting for a cook to be available. They should have just told us that in the first place. Once seated, it took about another hour before we had a cook. It just seemed like we had to complain every step of the way to get seated and serviced. The good part of the dinner was the cook, as he knows how to entertain the patrons. The food was nothing to wow about, but I would still say it was pretty decent. Our group ordered: - Deluxe dinner (x4) - consisting of chicken, shrimp, steak and lobster - Fried chicken for the kids (x2) - Steak for the kids (x2) - Salmon Lover Sushi (x2) - Edamame (x2) If your family has big eaters, this amount may not be enough for you. The order was just enough for my family. We are not small eaters by any means, but we are not gluttonous. For those who do not know, Teppanyaki is where a cook makes the food in front of you. You can also order side dishes and sushi in addition to your meal. For the price, the sushi is quite small. We did not order any sashimi.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST PLACE I’VE EVER BEEN TO!!! We came there as a family of 11 people all together for my niece and nephew’s birthdays together and we have booked the reservation in advanced a few weeks prior to that and had to waited 50 mins before he had to asked numerous times when we will be seated at our table because we waited too long and all the kids were getting hungry. We booked for @7:30 and didn’t get our table until 8:20pm!!! We had brought in 2 birthday cakes for each of the kids for their birthday and I specially said to handle the cakes carefully and I even offered to help them to carry my own 2 cakes with them but they refused to let me do so. When we asked for our cakes at the end, they brought out 2 broken cakes ( please look at the video)..right away I said why was the cakes both broken and they said we never broke the cakes and it came like that!!! I even checked one of the cake that was covered inside the box because we waited too long and one of the cake box was in a clear box so clearly both cakes were never broken!!! They never apologize or anything and kept saying it was already like that when they were the ones who opened both boxes and handle them and they even put them on the plates so if they didn’t touch the cakes then why was it broken in half when it was brought out to our table?? No one take responsibility for their actions and kept on denying it!! I would probably wouldn’t be this upset if they have atleast apologize!!! AND YOU HAVE THE NERVES TO ADD TIPS ON TOP OF MY BILLS FOR YOUR WORST SERVICE AND HAVE RUINED TWO YOUNG KID’S birthday cakes!!! Tips and gratitude are for good services and not something you feel that your restaurant deserves for breaking 2 cakes!!! The food wasn’t even good for the amount of price we had to paid for!!!! If I can give a ZERO STAR on this review I would’ve!!!!! If you take reservation then pleaseeeeee don’t make your customers waited for almost an hour!! Just do first come first serve then!!! This place really shows how much they don’t value their customers!! And if you don’t want to ruined your special event then don’t dine at this place! You should’nt even be in this kind of business if you offered the...

Incredibly disappointed with our experience here. When we first got there (about 5 mins early) we were told we wouldn’t be sat until all the member of our party would be present, then they decided to seat us anyways. We were moved from one table to another. On my way to our new table, I slipped on a piece of raw shrimp and injured my hip while trying to avoid a fall (at no point did any of the staff come to ask me if I was alright). We then waited over 30 mins for our drinks. My friend ordered the lobster & filet mignon, but didn’t get her filet mignon. We weren’t asked if we wanted/needed more drinks. We saw our server once when she took our drinks, once when she brought a our drinks. She was rude and very moody with us. Called us difficult, keeping in mind we had not complained about anything at this point. I asked to speak to a manager, was told there was no manager on duty that night. Not sure who I spoke to, but he said he would take our drinks off the bill and adjust the price for the missing filet mignon. We asked our server for the bills, she said “yeah, yeah, they’re coming” in a very dismissive tone. We got all our bills, one of them (the one missing the filet mignon, was charged twice for her rice) I took my friend’s bill and mine, gave her the money for both bills and left. The host ran out after us saying that one bill wasn’t paid. I said yes it was. I personally have the money for both bills, with both bills. So I went back in to speak to the server. On the way back in to the restaurant, I was confronted by the host who said I shouldn’t be fighting fire with fire! At this point, I was really upset with my whole experience! As a server myself, I am appalled at how comfortable these ladies were with giving us the amount of attitude we received during our visit. I have zero intentions of ever going back to...
