We have been dying to try King Tandoori ever since a friend told me about the Drew Rd plaza location. You can see I get my pizza and wings from Slice Of The 6ix there. In any event we went to the Vaughan location on Hwy 27 instead. Ordering over the phone was easy and told them I would be there in an hour. Food was ready when I arrived. Attached you will see the printed order list and the corresponding pics of all items. Lately, in the past couple of years, ordering Indian (Punjabi) food has been hit and miss. A lot more misses and very very few hits. Came home with the food and when we opened the containers and took a quick sample of each item we were plenty surprised with the taste of the thari (gravy). Not bad at all... good flavour and right amount of heat... The issues: Chicken Tikka Masala tasted too much like Butter Chicken. The Chili Paneer had no heat and full of starch. The Tandoori Chicken was tastey but well under cooked. All the other dishes were pretty good, not great, but pretty good. As for quantity they could have added a little more meat to each dish.... overall I would have given them a 4.5/5 but with the deficiencies I listed above I gave King Tandoori Vaugahn location a 4 out of 5.

This is the worst Indian restaurant I have ever been to. The place is unhygienic and serves stale food. We ordered a veg platter which had undercooked soybean chunks, under-seasoned and stale paneer tikka and some unappetizing pineapple chunks. All in all it was a massacre on a plate not worth more than $6 but I got charged $17.99 for it. Next followed the - ‘Chana Bhatura debacle’ after a long wait of 40 minutes. I think the description of the dish in the menu should be - Small portion of chana with unevenly fried bhatura served with yogurt that reeks of dust. I bet no one would go through the excruciating torture of finishing up the entire plate of it. Moreover the obnoxious attitude of the server and carelessness of owner adds the cherry to the cake. The place is a shame.

The food is really good but the wait for take-out and delivery is horrible! We've ordered from this place a few times because it is one of the only good Indian (Punjabi) food places in Woodbridge but we know by now to expect an unreasonably long wait time and so we prepare with that in mind. Keep in mind though that we only order on either Friday, Saturday or Sunday so it could be that these are the busiest days.

I have picked up from here a few times and each time, even though we are told it will be ready in 25-30 minutes, we have waited an average of 45 - 50 minutes from call to pick-up inside. I don't even leave my house to pick up until at least 15 mins after I've called. Inside is not a place I want to eat, it is really cramped and looks really run down so I have no experience with the wait inside, although from having to stand around and being in everyone's way during my wait for my take-out order it looks like the wait inside is too long as well. The staff looks constantly flustered and they are quite disorganized. I have also seen numerous takeout orders sit on the counters for a while until because they wait for no reason to call them out and it's absurd because people are standing around waiting.

Skip the dishes is no better, we've waited an average of 40-60 minutes to get our order and this place is, at most, a 10 minute drive from our house.

So in closing, if you are ordering for pick-up or delivery be prepared to wait a while. If you are going in to pick-up yourself make sure constantly ask if yours has come out or it may sit there until they finally call you, even though you are there waiting.

I hate the wait but now that I know to expect it I will still highly recommend the food. It is delicious, the portions are large and while it is really, really spicy it is quite...

Good food with casual atmosphere. We came here upon a recommendation by a friend and found it to be a nice little Punjabi restaurant.

We came here on a Sunday evening with a group of 5 people and tried the following:

Mint Chicken Tikka - Absolutely amazing!

Lamb Seekh Kebab - amazing! usually Lamb Kebabs turn out very dry and unappetizing, but this one was the best we've ever had! Really moist and flavourful.

Vegetarian Saag - Pretty Good

Vegetable Biryani - Great Indian style biryani loaded with lots of vegetables.

Chicken Vindaloo - Boneless chicken in a spicy tomato & onion based curry. I especially loved this one. - I would highly recommend trying this one

Chicken Tikka Masala - Nothing too amazing, I wasn't a huge fan of filler vegetables like green peppers and onions in a cream based curry.

Lacha Paranthas - well made, definitely recommend

Plain Naans - Pretty good, I did like that there was seasoning worked into the actual dough which gave it a nice flavour.

One thing I would recommend, is knowing what size subji you'd like, we ordered one chicken curry dish last minute to add to our meal, and they automatically assumed it would be the large size, we didn't realize until the end of the meal we could've ordered a small.

Seating is a bit tight, so it may be a little harder for...

A friend praised much about this restaurant, so thought of giving it a try. I ordered a large creamy paneer tikka masala and tandoori rotis over the phone for a pick up. I told the girl (who received my call) that someone has specifically recommended this place to me and that's why I was ordering the food with them. When I reached there at the scheduled time, I was utterly disappointed to see the ambience. It looked like a small crowded place to me. It absolutely didn't look like a restaurant. I thanked myself for not deciding to dine in at this place, and for ordering just the take out. I picked up the food and reached home. When we tasted the food, we were deeply disappointed and regretted the decision to order the food here. Paneer was visibly burnt, very hard, tasteless and quantity was too little as per the bill I had paid for the pick up. Possibly, the paneer was not fresh. I wondered what was wrong with the restaurant. Despite telling that this was going to be my first visit to the restaurant, I received the poor quality food. I can imagine the level of service after repeat visits. I will definitely not recommend this restaurant (?) to any one. Spend your money at a nice place that gives preference to serving quality food to...
