Mac N' Wings — Restaurant in Vaughan

SCAM ALERT!!! AVOID THIS RESTAURANT AT ALL COSTS!!!

This business has zero integrity and stole $71.59 from me. I placed an order through Uber Eats and realized immediately that this was the wrong Mac n’ Wings location for pickup. I called the restaurant within seconds, but they completely ignored my calls. While the phone was ringing unanswered, my order was marked as accepted. Wanting to avoid confusion for the kitchen staff, I decided to cancel the order and assumed I’d be able to maturely resolve the mix up with the restaurant. I called back five times before someone finally answered.

The worker who answered was clearly new, confused, and had no idea what he was doing. When I asked to speak with a manager, he placed me on hold and then returned on call without the manager. He told me the reason no one was answering earlier was because they were understaffed, which only made it more frustrating that they accepted the order without being available to take calls. I explained the issue and asked for assistance, and he gave me a completely false explanation, claiming the restaurant only receives 10% of a canceled order. I confirmed with Uber Eats that this was a lie. The restaurant actually receives the full amount plus additional fees. I was told they would receive about $75.

I called the restaurant back immediately in good faith to resolve the issue but they had blocked my number! They literally stopped all communication with me.

This kind of deceptive, unethical behaviour is unacceptable from any business. Had they been honest and cooperative, I would have given them a second chance. Instead, they chose to lie, avoid accountability, and take my money without delivering anything. I was even willing to still pick up the order despite it being more than an hour’s drive away.

I will be filing formal complaints with Uber Eats and my bank, posting this review across multiple platforms, and warning as many people as I can. If management has any decency, they will contact me and refund what they took. Until then, this restaurant has lost my business and many...

I really hope the owner sees this. I gave 5 stars as I know how much it matters to the growth of the business, but I have noticed a massive room for improvement. We have visited the restaurant on Sunday evening. The place is clean and very well designed. The service was very noticeablly slow (maybe due to the nature of preparing the type of food). However, not a major issue as we we're just chilling, might be an issue for other customers. When the food came in I gotta give it to the wings, there were good and we were full and happy with them, no complaints there, definitely would recommend them. However, we have noticed everything else was average at best. We ordered two types of loaded fries and a regular one, I'm not gonna fault the taste, nor the presentation or look, they were all great. However, the fries were very VERY dry and very hard to bite into even with the sauce on top. We ended up ignoring them and just focusing on the chicken. It was the same story with Mac n Cheese. Tasted alright, wasnt bad at all. But again, was very dry and had a hard texture even with the cheese and cream in it. Overall, the place is good, and with just a little work on the fries and the Mac n Cheese, the place would be absolutely awesome. Wishing you all the best and...

Horrendous experience. Why call a place MacN'Wings when there is literally no combo on the menu where you can get it as one order. You have to buy macncheese AND the wings separately. The combos come with fries, but you can't substitute with mac and cheese even though you're willing to pay for it. Even thought that was the case we specifically asked the regular Mac and cheese order, had a full out conversation explaining the size and upgrade. We asked for a small and it never came in the bag, not sure if we were charged for it.

Regarding our order: we got Combo 1 with Cesar wings and 1 1/2 pound of jerk wings. We specifically asked for 1 sauce for the combo one wings and we were given two... For the jerk order...the wings came breaded. Not sure what wing shop or Caribbean shop sells BREADED jerk wings but it did not taste delicious. We weren't even asked if we wanted the wings breaded or not for either orders. In terms of the Jerk sauce itself on the wings it was not delicious. Soaked in lime juice with a low grade quality of jerk. There was more lime flavour than jerk itself.

I vlog about trendy food spots in the GTA. This one is a HARD pass for a review. I do apologize about my review but it's as...
