My boyfriend and I are somewhat regulars at this location, because it generally outperforms local competition in terms of cleanliness, service, and overall quality. In fact, my boyfriend previously rated this location a 5 star, as seen below in his review. However, we felt obligated to change our rating to a 2.5. We had a very negative experience today; not one of those âoffâ days where the food may not be best, or itâs really busy, so customers may be forgotten about - these were issues that could have easily been remedied.
When we were here last (about 3 weeks ago) the server was wonderful. She accommodated the fact that the big breakfast was taken off the menu (which is disappointing) and was creative with how to offer a similar product for my boyfriend who used to order that - I feel this is an accurate example of how this location usually is. Today however, our service was rude, dismissive, and not at all accommodating. Our server refused to be creative with his request to make a âbig breakfast likeâ option, by interrupting him mid order stating it wasnât possible. She also interrupted me during the placement of my order.
When our orders were received, one of my sunnyside up eggs were extremely undercooked. I understand this is a fault of the kitchen and not the server, so I set it aside and upon her return, I handed her the spare plate, and politely asked if it could be cooked a little more. She pretty much grabbed it out of my hand and said âkâ and did not even present as apologetic for the fact that my food was undercooked. When she brought it back, it was still undercooked, yet burnt on the bottom, but due to her attitude I did not feel comfortable bringing it up again.

   Read moreEdit: June 22, 2025 We visited Wimpyâs Thornhill for a late Fatherâs Day brunch and were very disappointed by the unprofessional conduct of the manager, Suzy.
My father was experiencing a headache due to a nearby table speaking extremely loudly, so he politely asked if we could be moved. Our server was incredibly kind and accommodatingâhowever, Suzyâs response was unacceptable. She gave my father attitude, told him to âsit down,â and later made another rude remark when he simply requested more hot water for his tea.
Suzy attempted to justify her behavior by saying the restaurant was busy, but being busy is not an excuse for treating customers with disrespectâespecially not from someone in a managerial position. Instead of listening or showing any empathy, she tried to defend her actions by referring to security cameras, which only further reflected her lack of accountability and de-escalation skills.
Our family has been loyal customers for over 15 years, but this experience was truly disappointing and may very well impact our decision to return. Itâs unfortunate to see such behavior from someone representing the leadership of the restaurant.
Previous Review: Leanne was superb, the food came out correct but we had a slight issue with the avocado toast, she helped take some things off the bill and ensured that we were taken care of.
