Vernon is extraordinarily fortunate these folks decided to open this joint. The sushi here is top tier !!!! And the Japanese grocery options are simple but high quality and items that are hard to access in other locations. Great If you are looking to make some authentic Japanese at home. I was not expecting this level of amazing and I can’t even wait to go back. The salmon nigiri melted in my mouth the fish was deeply fresh and the rice tender and perfect. The rice was amazingly textured in all the rolls. All the rolls were perfect. Everything seemed like it was made with care. The veggie rolls were a little different from other places and super tasty. I’m not a vegetarian but I feel like the selection of veg rolls here are more interesting than other traditional places. I loved the use of sweet potato. Five out of five!! Also this place cares about the pandemic - all the workers wear masks. There is a hand washing station. It’s very safe here. They are diligent about cleanliness and safety. These folks deserve your support. It’s the best sushi place I’ve gone to in a...
Read moreMy friend and I came here for the first time. It's a lovely little restaurant which has some Japanese inspired products being sold on the side.
They have a small menu primarily consisting of rolls. It is absolutely delicious (we had the flam-seared yam rolls and the Best Couple Rolls. The Best Couple Rolls were the best. We also had tempura prawns which was more Chinese Deep Fried Prawns rather than the tempura images conjured in our brains.
The plates are a lovely touch.
You pay at the counter before your food comes, but we tipped after the meal as they do have a tip jar.
We paid approximately $21.50 4 pieces of tempura prawn, 8 flam seared yam rolls, and 8 best couple rolls after tax but before tip.
The young man and woman working were both very friendly.
Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant if you want to try some of the...

If you're looking for Authentic Japanese Sushi you've found it! If you've been to Japan you will feel the authenticity here. The chef/owner is accommodating, genuine and knows exactly how to prepare perfect sushi. We had sockeye salmon sashimi, along with spicy scallop, spicy (sockeye) and spicy albacore tuna rolls. We requested gluten free which was accommodated with most dishes being gluten free with the exception of some marinated dishes(shiitake role) and the Tempura. We felt welcomed and honestly like we were sitting in Japan. It was perfect👌. We'll be back...
