Went here with two friends and we all ordered drinks and snacks and sat down at a table. We had our laptops out to try and get some work done, however within 20 minutes the lady who served us came by and zeroed in on me specifically, asking if I was going to order anything (I already had, I just finished my food faster than my friends). I explained this to her and yet she came by another two times mentioning how busy it is, how they want a quick turnover rate, and emphasizing how I did not have food in front of me. She then proceeded to stare at me repeatedly, to the point where I was getting very uncomfortable. I completely understand, especially when it is busy, to not want someone to sit for hours on end and take up space without buying much. However this was not the case here, it had been barely 20 minutes since we sat down, also she was only talking to me even though both of my friends were still eating and drinking, so even if I did leave immediately the table would still be taken by my friends. Also as a note the wifi did not work, so our laptops would be no different to reading books or talking.
I definitely over explained, however it was just a very uncomfortable and unpleasant experience, especially to be singled out and stared at. I also work in customer service so it takes a lot for me to be treated badly enough to write a review, but the price of the decent food is not worth the unpleasant and rude...
ย ย ย Read moreUsed to be my favorite place to visit. My partner and I went for a coffee earlier this week. My partner who has an invisible disability and comes across as an average man had an open soda to treat his low blood sugar (cuz diabetes and he needs sugar so he doesn't die) as we were standing in the line, ordering food paying, waiting to pick up coffee and pastry, and settling down. No issues. About 10 min after we settled in, the person who served as at the counter came and asked us to leave because one should not be having open drinks from outside. Well, how about it's being a medicine? No, you need to leave. End of conversation. Quite unfortunate. And quite rude. Maybe it's time to put a sticker on the door that says no outside food or drinks? Or maybe tell us before we order and tip? You could also sell soda so we don't have to go to the store and then come back and get kicked out. Will probably not going back anytime soon. Makes me wonder how people with visible disability...
ย ย ย Read moreI wonโt be prepaying my gratuities until after I receive the product. Why? I ordered when there was no one else at the coffee bar. I sat down. I waited for my latte. Time passed so I got up and went back to see what was happening, I was on a short break. There were two employees working. My latte had been passed over for another customer who came in after me, purchased coffee, and had the beans ground. I asked the server whether she had ordered my coffee. Yes she had. Too bad about my order! Again my order was relayed to the Barista, who replied yes she was aware and she would make it. When I got my pita and hummus. I asked the food prep person if it was made that day. It had a tangy quality and I was curious about what that was. I was told it was lemon juice. I was trying to flush out how long it had sat in the fridge as it seemed almost bubbly. Anyway, I wonโt order that again. To be fair I have always enjoyed this place. I think some training from the regular staff...
