The closest Starbucks to my home, which takes approximately 15 minutes on foot. Unfortunately they are totally unreliable with their hours and closures. Unless you phone ahead of time to confirm whether their walk-in is open, youâre often met with shuttered doors. As Iâm on foot, Iâve then wasted 30 mins of my time. Their drive-in is not an option when youâre on foot. Not sure why they canât staff up enough to keep the doors open to walk-ins, but at least have the courtesy to post something on your doors as to why youâre closed so often.
Update June 26, 2021 (8 months later) Guess what? Still shuttered. Wasted another 30 min walking to this Starbucks today only to find the doors locked and only the drive-thru available. And to add insult to injury, Iâve lost my Starbucks points because Iâve havenât been able to redeem them at this often closed poor excuse of a coffee shop where car traffic trumps foot traffic.
Update, June 25, 2022 Unbelievable! One full year later I make an attempt to try this Starbucks again. Guess what? Walk-in service still shuttered and drive-thru closed today due to a staff shortage as was told to me by an employee who was displaying the âclosed for businessâ sign up. Starbucks, either pay your employees a living wage or close this store permanently.
Update, Oct 14, 2023 Guess what? Still shuttered! 2:00 pm on a Saturday and in spite of what the website says, this poor excuse of a Starbucks is closed. What is it with this place? This is one of the few Unionized Starbucks in the province so not sure whatâs at play here and whoâs responsible? Starbucks please do everyone a favour and pull the plug on this location.    Read moreThe lady working gave me a ripped bill so i politely asked for a new one and she was incredibly rude and refused saying because she had already closed the till and couldnt open it without a purchase. so i asked if someone inside was making a purchase to exchange it or if i could wait for the car behind me. To pay and exchange the bill and she said no i could drive to a bank and exchage the bill because there was no one making and purchases which was a lie in fact they had a few cutomers to attend to So if i wanted to by something else. Or i could drive to a bank ive never had someone be so rude . my girlfriend then asked if we could speak to a manager she rolled her eyes and walked away without acknowledging her question so we called to her again she was very rude again saying that the manager was busy and they were short staffed so if i want to wait fo her i could do that( this is how i found out that she had previously lied) which i had no problem in doing so. And believe she could have said this politly to begin with instead of just trying to brush us off cause we had already recieved our coffee were still customers and you should never give your customers bills that are ripped. And if they ask tou to exchange it and your busy you should at least give them the option to wait instead of just deciding that you dont have time for their needs since you've already collected the money from them. Firstly we noticed our barista has a habit of self-harming her body by cutting her forearms which she wears proudly with very revealing short-sleeved upper wear. We are modest people and seeing this is disturbing for my wife. Sadly however that would not cause us to invest time in writing this, I am writing because this woman I describe became upset towards a customer in our presence as well, she argued with him that he should have to pay more for his beverage than he paid, when he repeatedly told her he had in fact paid the amount she was contesting he should pay. It was shocking for us to see this employee begin to argue with the customer for minutes while she was at fault. She threatened to have him banned from the store after accusing him of threatening her when he pleaded with her that he was trying to be polite and explain himself. We will never return to this location due to this frighteningly unstable woman named "Sara". I understand some people have mental health issues but as a business owner, for her to have an aggressive episode with a paying customer while on shift as a customer-service representative is beyond...
