Our celebration at The Loft Pub was truly a night to remember. Nestled in its cozy ambiance, we, along with close friends and family, reveled in a memorable evening marking my husband's milestone birthday. From the warm decor to the friendly staff, everything was just perfect. The menu, a delightful assortment of expertly prepared dishes, catered to our every craving. And to make the evening even more special, we had the privilege of indulging in a feast from the owner's catering business, "Connoisseur Catering," which included mouthwatering steak, creamy alfredo tortellini, and crisp snow peas. Adding a dash of variety, my husband insisted on including a Caesar salad and the irresistible yam fries from the pub fare. The staff's impeccable service ensured that every detail was taken care of. What elevated the night to a whole new level was the live music by Hearts & Roses, who played classic rock that had us dancing all night long. It was the perfect soundtrack to an unforgettable celebration. As we raised our glasses to toast my husband, we couldn't have asked for a better place than The Loft Pub. It's a venue where cherished memories are made, and we eagerly look forward to returning for more extraordinary moments in the future.

The Loft Pub is hands-down my favourite hangout whenever I’m in Victoria. The food is excellent—tasty, sensible portions, and paired with reasonably priced drinks. I also really appreciate the little touches, like water glasses being topped up constantly. The staff here are wonderful: attentive, friendly, and genuinely invested in making sure everyone has a great time. They deserve a big thank-you for keeping this gem glowing. Of course, the live music is a huge draw. The musicians are incredibly talented, mixing original songs with crowd-pleasing favourites that keep the dance floor packed all night. I recently caught the Graham Francis Band, and they had the place hopping through three energetic sets—impressive! What I love most is the atmosphere. There’s no pretension—just a friendly, welcoming crowd out to enjoy themselves, share some laughs, and dance. That vibe, combined with the quality of food, drinks, staff, and music, makes the Loft Pub a true standout. Highly recommended—if you’re in Victoria, don’t miss it!

I agree with comments about overpriced food, tried the poutine and it was really salty. Wasn’t worth the price. I’d feel better knowing the extra money goes to the runner ( about 4 trips up the stairs in an hour) The bar is not wheelchair accessible. Live music is great. There’s a space in the back that is empty, could use more seating, just feels dusty in that part. You can’t talk with the band playing. Older population. Bar girls were good. Didn’t go to the restaurant. Not sure I will now. Ample of parking around. Once you get up stairs- it’s very warm!

Live music is always awesome.

This said, go to Hecklers just down the street. The staff are great, and the hotel is nicer. Trust me. You're welcome.

The Loft is for LOCALS ONLY. I got the message loud and clear.

Absolutely brutal service.

If you are not local you do not exist. Server walked passed half a dozen times and did not acknowledge my existence. I went to the bar to ask for a pint, and sat back down. The waitress, yes the only one serving the entire place, cleared two tables right next to me, did not ask if I needed anything. I attempted to get her attention and she completely ignored me aside from looking at me, smiling, and walked away. This is literally the worst service I have experienced anywhere, ever. No exaggeration, literally the worst .

Absolutely brutal service.

The locals seemed to be having a great time, the food looked standard for what you would expect, I have no idea if the menu is good... I was never offered one.

Absolutely brutal service.

This seems to be a local hangout, but it's on the second floor of a hotel that I'm staying at.

Absolutely brutal service.

Opposed to asking to be served I decided to finish my pint and...
