A Hidden Gem for Breakfast in Victoria

I stumbled upon this cozy café while searching for a breakfast spot near my hotel, and I couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised. Initially, the photos didn’t seem particularly impressive, but the high ratings convinced me to give it a try—and I’m so glad I did!

I ordered an Americano, a bagel, and a breakfast wrap. The first surprise was the coffee—it was exceptional, rich, and perfectly brewed. The second was the breakfast itself—the flavors were incredible, fresh, and clearly made with care.

What made the experience even better was the warmth of the café owner. Despite the cold weather and the small seating area, the friendly interactions between the owner and the customers created an inviting, homely atmosphere that was far more enjoyable than any luxury restaurant.

This café completely changed my initial perception based on its photos. The amazing food, excellent coffee, and genuine hospitality left a lasting impression.

Open early which was great for me because many places open later now after the COVID outbreak. I gave a 4 because I liked the service & locally owned feel, however the coffee was so-so.

Service 👌: The man working (Owner) felt very comfortable in the space, asked me questions about my day and gave me suggestions. That was great. He recognized the woman behind me by name. There is outdoor patio dating and a takeout window. The storefront itself is quite slim and independent-feeling (rather than a chain)- but it's not open to customers at this time (takeout/order window is at entrance of cafe).

Coffee: I ordered an Africano/Americano misto and it was too hot to drink at first (admittedly, this is common because hot espresso is added to hot water + steamed milk= triple hot!! That's how it works right? :p ). The espresso I could taste was faint and quite earthy. Not my fave but I wanted to try. I've only tried the Africano so I'll try something else...

Found this little gem while out and about, stopped in to find the owner (I assume) chatting with the many guests inside, gave a very homely vibe - was served more like a family member than a customer. Amazing experience here. We ordered two chipotle breakfast wraps which were very simple but extremely delicious. Very well priced for the quality, service and atmosphere here!
