This is probably the worst McDonalds I have been to. Not only that, it is the worst fast food restaurant I have been to. This isn't from 1 or 2 visits, but visits regularly since they opened. I hoped they would improve with time, that is not the case. I don't think I have ever had a perfect order from this location, unlike the martinsville location that I have never had a single issue with and go nearly as often.
My last breakfast was cold and missing key ingredients in the mcmuffin (and really, there are not that many parts..), my last dinner meal was a quarter pounder Blt and was missing most toppings, was completely cold, had half a slice of bacon, and was tossed not even on the bun in the box.... I had to put my Burger together myself, and my fries were cold and not fully topped up. These sorts issues happen every single time we go there. It is sad that this location has become a running joke.
It is also often slow, I usually have to pull up and wait for my order even if they are not busy and I am ordering food like baked goods that don't require much work to prepare.
Also for the longest time one of their drive thru menus were broken, when I asked about an item they were annoyed I didn't know the menu by memory (I usually only order my regular items so don't know everything on the menu) . I had to start ordering from the app so if I got in that lane I wouldn't have to talk with them.
This sorta thing happens every time, we have now decided recently to always drive to martinsville if we want food from McDonalds.
The only item they haven't messed up was coffee, though once my cup wasn't full.
Edit, came again since no time to get to Martensville for breakfast. Staff were completely unhelpful, didn't have any of the items we wanted (even all day items) and staff stated a meal item couldn't be put into a meal even though advertised on their screens. Left drive through annoyed and didn't order. Drove to martinsville location, arrived after breakfast cut off barely, still served us breakfast with no issues at all. Read moreNow this won't be your typical review. My complaint is not necessarily with the service itself, which I know full well is not good in any way. It's with the way the business is run.
I have been in the restaurant multiple times and every time I wait anywhere from 5-20 minutes for my food. It doesn't matter if I get a coffee or a 3 course meal. I've looked around the restaurant and 90% of the time I only see 4 people behind the counter. 4 people! There was a line to the front of the restaurant and they simply could not keep up. I've asked the employees in the past why there is so few people per shift and they say that's normal for them. Now I don't know where the dicsision gets made for the amount of employees working, but whoever does it clearly doesn't understand what it takes to run that place.
Another issue I have is the safety of the employees working there. Every time I walk in there is a strong smell of sewer. I don't know where it's coming from, but it gives me a headache if I'm in the building for any length of time. I can't imagine what it's like being there all day!
Also when I was there a little while ago I saw an employee working outside in a thin jacket and some dinky little gloves. I don't know if the business provides better outerwear than that, but if they don't they seriously need to give their heads a shake. It's not safe to be exposed to the winter weather when you're dressed light! A pair of gloves is a drop in the bucket for such a big corporation.
Overall it seems like whoever runs that place is extremely cheap. They don't have enough people working and they don't treat the people well that do work there. This results in poor service to the customers and that's why the place has the...
Read morehave been going here alot recently in the last week and a half due to my family loving the monopoly game. for the 4 times prior this week, i have ordered bacon on both burgers, and everytime i am charged for the bacon and it is on the kitchen slip attached to the burgers. NO bacon each time. no to mention, the customer service is outrageous, worse than ive ever seen, i asked a girl for a monopoly board since we didnt get one last time, she said "THERE should be one in the bag if there isnt ill put one in" still no board until we went in and directly asked. then went last night into the lobby around 11:30PM, usually dont care if it takes long after 11PM due to the current and previous understaffing issues. in the lobby there was a kid maybe 15-16 with his buddies, NO MASK, walking all around within everyone else in the lobby with a mask, making tons of noise and throwing and spilling chocolate milk everywhere on the back table. was just annoyed and was going to just ocntinue to wait for my order. UNTIL i noticed ONLY ONE EMPLOYEE wearing a mask. nobody in the back was wearing a mask and they made it very clear that they do not care about mandates and rules in the workplace for everyones safety. it wasnt until i made it very obvious i was taking a photo of no one wearing a mask, and one teenage girl put one on while making my order.
