Okay so there are obviously a large amount of fake reviews. You can see this when there are 4-5 5 star reviews from fake profiles. right after a negative one. Just look after I post this one lol.
I’ve been eating at the India sweet master in Brampton for YEARS. It’s been a staple in my family and one of my favourite Indian restaurants. I was super excited when this one opened, as now I can have it closer to me!!
I still order and get food from here. But as the reviews have said, the service is atrocious, the waitresses are rude and often forget that parts of an order. For example, on two occasions I got a veg Thali with garlic naan and paid extra for the garlic naan. Not only was I NOT given garlic naan I was given rotis 😭.
Also, when you get thali from here, just assume you’re going to get an upset stomach. Like clockwork 2-3 days after I get food from here, I get sick. THIS HAS HAPPENED EVERY TIME. I’ve been 4 times.
Why do I keep going back? Cuz the foods good…usually. It’s like Taco Bell, sometimes worth the upset tummy.
However I’ve noticed that they keep increasing prices with no increase in quality. Instead decreasing quality. The thali comes to $17 now (usually $16 but I pay the extra $1 for all paneer). The Raita is 90% water. It’s disgusting and inedible. It was always watery but it’s kind of ridiculous now. The Naan has also decreased in quality. It used to be a fluffy and large tandoori naan, now it seems almost frozen? The texture is weird now.
Also NEVER eat inside the restaurant. Their cutlery and tables are usually filthy.
Overall, decent food, better than most Indian places in the area. But abysmal management and lack of respect for customers. I think it’s come to the point where the food is no longer worth the risk of getting sick, nor dealing with incompetent workers, especially when it’s one of the most expensive Thali...
Read moreMy journey through the flavors at Indian Sweet Master has been a roller-coaster of delightful discoveries and unfortunate letdowns. On my first visit, I was captivated by a rich tapestry of authentic Indian tastes, from the zesty pop of Pani Puri to the comforting traditional Makki-Ki- Roti and Saag. These dishes not only spoke to the restaurant's prowess in delivering a spectrum of flavors but also set a high bar for my expectations.
However, subsequent visits seemed to deviate from this high standard. Despite requesting 20 handmade samosas, we received 40 machine-made ones without any notification, the second visit’s issue with the samosa order not only presented an inconvenience but also a lack of attention to customer requests, which is crucial for any service industry, especially for orders intended for special occasions like office potluck.
The most recent visit appeared to have compounded the challenges with significant service delays and confusion over orders, leading to a disjointed and unsatisfactory dining experience for us. Today's visit, my third, was thoroughly disappointing. The service was disorganized, resulting in a wait of over 45 minutes for a Dosa order and almost one hour for our chicken tikka. Initially, we were served a version with gravy, contrary to our order. Although the server offered to rectify this at no charge, the restaurant owner's spouse intervened, revoking that offer. This further illustrates a lack of consistency in service and customer care.
As a food reviewer, I believe in the power of constructive feedback. It's my hope that sharing my experiences can serve as a catalyst for improvement, ensuring that future patrons can enjoy the restaurant's offerings without...

I recently visited Indian Sweet Master in Waterloo and had the chance to try their Veg Thali, and overall, it was a delightful experience! 😋
The thali itself was very satisfying—offering a good variety of flavors. You get to choose two sabjis, and we went with the Shahi Paneer, which was absolutely delicious. The gravy was rich, creamy, and packed with just the right amount of spices, making it a treat with every bite. 👌🌿
One of the highlights was definitely the Gulab Jamun! 🍯 These were hands down some of the best I’ve had in a while. Soft, sweet, and perfectly soaked in syrup—it was the perfect end to the meal. 😍🍬
However, there’s one small thing I think they could improve on: the roti. While the food was great, they only gave us one roti with the thali, which felt a bit too little considering the amount of sabji served. I would recommend at least 2 or 3 rotis to make the meal feel more complete and filling. 🍞
Other than that, everything was fantastic! The service was friendly and quick, and the restaurant itself was clean and welcoming. The atmosphere was cozy, making it a great spot for enjoying traditional Indian food. 🏠✨
I’ll definitely be back to try more of their menu, especially the sweets and other thali options. I highly recommend Indian Sweet Master for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine in Waterloo. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, it’s worth checking out! 🌟
Tip: Don’t miss out on the sweets—they’re a must-try! 🍭
