Read moreIf you’re craving authentic, flavorful Middle Eastern cuisine, look no further than Kabob Shack. This hidden gem has quickly become one of my favorite spots in town, and after several visits, I can confidently say their food never disappoints. Every dish feels like a labor of love, crafted with fresh ingredients, bold spices, and a commitment to quality that truly sets them apart.
One dish that absolutely stands out is their lamb shank. Tender, fall-off-the-bone meat that’s been slow-cooked to perfection — it’s rich, succulent, and deeply satisfying. The lamb is infused with spices that are aromatic without being overpowering, and it’s served with a generous portion of saffron rice and perfectly cooked vegetables. It’s the kind of meal that makes you pause after every bite, just to appreciate the depth of flavor.
Another must-try is their biryani, which might just be one of the best I’ve had outside of South Asia. Fragrant basmati rice, layered with tender pieces of chicken or lamb (depending on your choice), spices, herbs, and a hint of heat — it’s a dish that’s as comforting as it is exciting. What really impressed me was the balance: every bite had the right amount of spice and richness, without feeling too heavy. The portion sizes are generous, making it perfect for sharing — though you might not want to!
Beyond the food, Kabob Shack offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff is friendly and attentive, always ready to make recommendations or accommodate dietary preferences. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and it shows in both their service and their food.
Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or sitting down for a full meal with friends and family, Kabob Shack delivers an experience that’s both comforting and memorable. From the hearty lamb shank to the flavorful biryani, every dish feels like it’s made with care — and it’s safe to say I’ll be coming back...
Read moreI really did not want to leave a review here and gave a bad rating but since I had more than an incident at this place, I feel it's my duty to let people know what kind of place this restaurant is.
First incident happened on summer, I ordered a meal through Skip the dishes app for pick up. I entered and gave my order number and asked for my order. The ~ 55-65 old man told me to bring the bag and get it. He thought I am SkipTheDishes courier and asked me again in a rude way to get the bag. Eventually a young lady in the back told him something in Persian and he gave me my order.
Although he was welcoming other customers with a smile he was rude to me because he thought I am a delivery guy.
Second in incident happened on Saturday night ( two days ago )
I went there with two of my friends who came from Manitoba for a visit. Again the same man asked us for vaccine proof. My friend showed him his Manitoba vaccine card and walked a way as he was on a phone call. He screamed at my friend and asked him to come back. Then, he was complaining that the QR card is not being scanned. We explained to him again that it's from Manitoba and not issued by the government of Ontario. We sat while he was checking the cards. I asked if we could get a menu while he was checking after few minutes passed. He complelty ignored us. I waited for few minutes again and asked again for a menu and again he ignored us. I told him if you don't wanna serve us we are leaving . And he said with gestures ok go go . That's extermlly rude and unprofessional. I order from this restaurant at least twice a month but I no longer want to be a customer of a restaurant that disrespect...
