Went for lunch on a Sunday and it was a great experience. Contemporary interior, fresh ingredients, and easy ordering!

I got a build-your-own poké bowl, medium sized ($14.50 after all toppings added). I got it with salmon, crab salad, edamame, red onion, kale, avocado, hot sauce, spicy aioli, pickled ginger, green onion, crispy onion, jalapeno, and furikake. All over some sushi rice, it was fresh, well-balanced, and very tasty. The avocado stood out though, because it was perfectly ripe and super smooth, definitely recommend it.

Ordering was easy, you can either order at the register or have a seat and order online via QR code. I think the QR code was better since there was no rush and you could see all the options laid out.

The atmosphere was contemporary and cute. The one thing that made the experience a bit annoying was the music. The speakers were playing some cinematic piano/movie music and it was so incredibly loud for no reason, way too loud for the establishment and made conversation a bit difficult. Otherwise, it was a...

The food is always fantastic. I usually get it delivered through Skip. However when I ordered pick-up from their Waterloo location I was pretty disappointed with the service. I got a text saying my food was ready - i walked into the restaurant a few mins after. There was only one other customer in the restaurant, who finished placing his order. The only pick-up order sitting on the counter was mine, and it was behind the barrier. But when I went and stood at the pick-up counter the three staff members just ignored me for a rather long time given that the restaurant is tiny. No one even came and asked me if I wanted to order something. There was simply no service. They weren’t that busy and they just talked to one another while preparing food. I went from confused to insulted and frankly disappointed. I finally just spoke up and said “hey can I just get my food” pointing to my food on the counter, at which point one of the staff came over and handed it to me. I love the food. But pick-up experience was way below what I’d expect from...

The uber menu offers buy one get one free, but at the same time, but it also increases the price compared to the same single item. Is this still considered free for the second one? I would think this is price scam, at least the price is not consistent with its description, either Uber does it or the store does it.

Also, I ordered the BOGO without seeing the stupid add two to the cart, which I admit is not their fault, but I called the store hoping to at least refund the price difference mentioned above. However both the girl who picked up the phone and the store manager were super super rude and would not even listen to my explanation. They keep saying it is Uber's problem, but who designed the scam prices to Uber. When does Uber start writing menus for restaurants? Also, if they found I paid such a high price ordering BOGO but should have added two to the cart, I think it is reasonable to either adjust the price or notify me and confirm. This is what most other restaurants have been doing, and what they did is not...
