Evelyn's Sandwich Factory — Restaurant in Welland

This is such a great lunch spot! I've driven past this sandwich shop so many times without realizing it is there, and I am kicking myself for not trying it sooner. The staff is amazing and so friendly, the portions are generous and the price is right. This is the kind of place where they'll remember your name and your order (as I saw today many times while waiting for my sandwich to be prepared).

I am so impressed by the quality of the food. The mushroom soup I had was hearty and delicious. The sandwich was even better, fresh bread, crispy vegetables and some of the best shredded turkey I've ever tried. I was especially pleased since I was expecting cold cuts, but got turkey that reminded me of Thanksgiving leftovers, but better.

It is so homey and comfortable inside, with really interesting things to look at. Some of the most incredible plants I have ever seen are living in the window here, among rustic antique decor.

They do have delicious sandwiches however I have been 3 times and they have yet to get my order correct with toppings. The last time I went, they actually gave me 2 cups of soup with bread and 1 sandwich but I ordered 2 sandwiches and 1 bowl of soup. I wasn't going to bother taking it back but my bf insisted on calling them. I actually started eating the soup and then they asked us to bring everything back so they could get us the right order....they took the partially eaten soup back and put it aside as it was someone else's order but they didn't want to remake the hot sandwich knowing it would obviously be soggy by the time we drove back there and then back home....well even without covid, they should have just said to keep the soups as I had brought them home and everything. Hope that customer was okay with their bread having a bite out of it. Love the food but can't go back and Def don't want to after they actually wanted the food...

Broke our Evelyn's v-card today and it was well worth it. We are still pretty new to this area and when driving by this spot, it was always after hours, and we always said we wanted to check it out. Today was our lucky day!!!

As we entered the shop, we were immediately drawn to the get up. All the antiques stood out and were quite fitting.

The menu is appealing and we grabbed sandwiches today. Completely blown away by all of the variety of toppings that we could choose from. We are impressed that just like us, she makes everything with fresh produce, etc. This makes us happy. I also like the idea of customers filling out the order sheet themselves.

Totally worth every penny and we will be back often, we know that for sure!
