KFC — Restaurant in West Kelowna

I was really hungry and I hadn't had KFC in a while and I was craving it. I decided to give this location a try even though I know the reviews are bad. I showed up at about 8:30 and they close at 9:00 p.m. during the summer, immediately when I showed off there was a crowd of people outside of the front door and one guy was furiously banging on the front door. I asked him what's happening and he said that they aren't letting anyone inside and it's drive-thru only. Obviously this is not something that KFC does and the workers were just being lazy because they probably already swept and mopped the front. So I had to walk through the drive-thru and after waiting for about 5 minutes I finally got someone to take my order. I ordered a twister wrap. I walked up to the window to pay and I noticed that it said $22. I told her that that's not the right price and she sarcastically said that I'm wrong and that that is the right price. Once I told her I didn't want combo she said. Oh okay and the price dropped to $18. So I paid it and then I went back and checked the menu and realized that the twister wrap is only $12. It's not like they were even busy and they somehow still overcharged me. When I went to get them to correct the mistake and charge back my card. They seemed annoyed even though they made the mistake. Since I was walking I could look through the drive-thru window and I saw inside just how filthy it is. Fries all over the ground. Dirt everywhere. Nothing has been wiped. Clearly these workers don't understand Canadian hygiene standards. KFC isn't a street food stall. It should be clean. I asked if they could give me some fresh chicken for my wrap because once it's been sitting longer than 10 minutes it gets soggy. They told me they couldn't do it and I asked how long it's been waiting for and they said 40 minutes. I know for a fact they're not supposed to let chicken wait that long so I told them to drop some more. They said they can't do that once again. Just being lazy because they're closing. I eventually got my wrap and ate it. The rap was fine. Chicken was a bit soggy but it was still okay. Good enough for a quick dinner.

The workers need to understand that they can't just make up their own rules and that when they do they will get more angry customers. Closing the inside of the restaurant just so that they can go home earlier is just stupid. The workers need to learn their food safety and get it up to Canadian standards. Nobody is going to eat inside of a gross restaurant. It makes KFC look...

I dont want to keep harping on this place but. After the manager hung up on me... I did a survey. For the 4th consecutive takeout, items were missing, advertised deals not available because "computer".... I did a survey since I am tired of driving back and getting my missed orders. I added to the survey that there was a 7 year old kid living in the restaurant. Got a call 5 min later from the manager that continued on asking me if the kid bothered me. No. I just did my damn survey and responded with my observation. She kept going on and on about contracts to have her kid there when she works, not being able to work... I kept saying this was not my main issue. That I dont want to keep talking about her life and her kid. I just want the quality to improve. She hung up. So I called the KFC HQ and filed a complaint. I dont care about your employees struggles due to your life choices. I just want what I paid for....

I've been going to this location for many years. The food is always good, and I have never had a bad experience. About the only negative thing I can say is the parking lot and the entrance to this restaurant is horrible LOL. It's a little better now with the roundabout put in, but it's quite hard to access if you're not familiar with the entrance. I recommend if you're not familiar with the area to get your food and hang a right and go down the hill toward the lake. There are parks right at the bottom of the hill about a kilometer,,where you can stop and enjoy the view at a picnic table and eat your food. Oh yeah there's an off leash park there for your dog as well to have a swim .. I had the big crunch special on Monday. I think it was the $5 Burger deal and it was one of the best I've had. The bun was so soft and the meat was tender yet the crispy coating was perfect . I can't say enough about it.
