UPDATE on my review
After Brents response online stating publicly he would contact us, he never did. Two weeks later and we sent him an email. He apologized again for the delayed response and said he would like to make it up and mailing a gift certificate that day to give his restaurant another chance. After another 2 weeks nothing arrived, so we reached again. Brent apologized and said he was out of town and there was a long weekend and told us he was away and has sent it out to us that day. Two more weeks have now gone by and nothing has been in the mail. It looks like all the responses to negative reviews are just lip service from Brent, so if he has promised you something, don't hold your breath.
Considering that I received no response in over a month to my email. I thought I would now publish it now as a review. Obviously the management does not have the time to respond. Here is the email that was sent.
I thought I would send an email rather than a poor review. My wife and I were in last Friday and realized it was happy hour. This was our second visit to your restaurant. The first visit was opening night and was a bit of a fiasco, but we just chalked it down to opening night. This time maybe it is because we only ordered happy hour appies, but there was really nothing we were very happy with. The cauliflower was very mushy and soft and was just dipped in sauce rather than cooked in it. Maybe that is the way that dish is. The buffalo sliders were so stingy on the fixings and sauce that they were dry and the buns we could not eat because they were stiff and stale. The chicken wings were under cooked and again just dipped in hot sauce which made them very messy and not nearly the best wings for sure. We ordered another order and asked them to be well done, and they actually came the way regular wings come, but not even close to well done and still just dripping sauce. Maybe that is how you guys do them. We are more used to wings being cooked with sauce and although messy, not like you have just dipped your wing bare into a jar of louisiana. Finally the Ceasar and the Moscow Mule were ok, but just that...ok. Perhaps it might be better to come after happy hour so that more care is taken with both the kitchen and the bar? Anyway just wanted to let you know about our...
Read moreThis is probably the worst meal we have ever paid money for. My husband and I went out Thursday night for appetizers with our two daughters. We ordered the prawns, kids chicken meal, and a few items off their happy hour menu to share. We are reasonable people and expect the happy hour items to be a smaller portion, but we had still hoped for decent quality. This was not the case;
Spicy garlic fries, were not spicy or garlicy at all. Just had some peppers (non-spicy) on top. These fries were so bland our 8 month old was able to munch on a couple of them.
Thai chicken bites, were like chicken crumbs. Might have got the bottom of the bag or something. Tossed with no care onto rainbow tortilla chips. With next to no sauce on them.
Street tacos, not bad. Not great
Kids chicken, daughter loved it.
Prawns were really cold, so cold we were wondering if they were intentionally served cold? If so they should re-consider that decision.
The only positive of the night is that we had an excellent server. The music was also ridiculously loud. After this experiance we will continue making the trip into kelowna for a better...
Read moreMy daughter wanted to treat us to lunch and we decided to share. Ordered the -I don't remember what it was called- platter with yam fries, cheesey garlic bread and wings. Also ordered nachos. My son ordered the chicken club. First impression was a polite smiley server. Then. It went downhill. Never asked what I thought of the lemonade drink ((way too sweet and over bearing of frozen pink lemonade flavor) ... refilled the kid's pop twice but never asked about my drink. So food comes. The first drumette was completely undercooked. Garlic bread was soggy. Nachos barely had cheese. Chicken club bread was overly buttered so there was no crunch at all. The server... I kid you not..... looked in our direction 6x! but not once did he come over. Decided to take our lunch to go so I could properly finish cooking it. Purposely positioned bloody chicken bone but when the "hostess" came to clear the plates, she blantently looked at the raw chicken but said nothing. Won't be going back. Absolutely horrible customer service and poorly...
