This was my first time to this little shop. I generally like build-your-own food restaurants such as Subway. I thought I'd try this place today.
First impression: confusion.
There were 3 big signs with options but no prices (that o could easily see). There were paper signs on those signs, as well as on the wall and elsewhere. I was overwhelmed and just asked the woman working there if I could order the schwarma as a wrap. I guess all of their options can be a wrap (pita), rice bowl, or salad.
I chose the chicken schwarma on a small whole wheat pita and kept the recommended toppings, adding black olives and banana peppers. The food behind the counter looked fantastic & fresh. Bright colors, lots of options.
The wrap was tasty! It was filled about right - not too full but not skimping on the veggies and meat.
My only complaint was the menu. I'd highly recommend they simplify it. I now know what to expect, so next time I will be prepared.
I think I'll bring my kids here the next time we're in Wetaskiwin and looking for a quick,...
Read moreIt was alright, tried for the first time. I got a shawarma wrap as per the recipe and a mango bubble tea. Next time I will probably build my own wrap, there was way too much going on in that wrap. I also had to wait until I got home to eat it. Wasn’t in very good shape by that point. The mango bubble tea was good - it is not authentic though it is the powder and blended type which is alright if that’s what you like! They only have a few flavours to choose from. Whoever made my food was great, made sure I got what I asked. The paper signs come off a bit cheap but otherwise it is clean, inviting and a modern atmosphere! Looking forward to...
Read moreSuper lovely worker, the place is clean but decor wise very outdated, not an ideal location (not that that can be controlled much).
I got a milk tea bubble tea today, excellent flavour but it seems like the blenders are not as strong as they need to be for the slushy/smoothie texture they are going for, had quite a few ice chunks left in the drink. The tapioca is different than what I usually see in bubble tea, and that’s not a bad thing! Firmer texture and less “slimy” as people love to day with boba.
Definitely will come back but I’ll be sure to ask for a...
