It has been a while since I came here to eat since the 90s. In those day their food was good. Now.... it is okay nothing spectacular. The burger is not bad but not sure if my burger comes with sauce. If it is suppose to have sauce then I could not taste any sauce or perhaps is not present. The bacon is cooked to hell that there are some parts burnt. The fries is good as it was crispy. Wish there was more fries as the dish being served on a huge plate gives impression that there is not enough fries. Either ditch the bucket or change how the dish should be served. The pickle soup is good as I tried a few spoonfuls. I was skeptical of the soup but it is good. I recommend the soup. The BLT sandwich special description is awful as the bacon, lettuce, and tomatoes in a "Italian bread" which is misleading as the bread they used is regular bread. Even bacon is somewhat burnt. The huckleberry pie is okay as filling is a bit gloppy. You should have pies hot or warm with a scoop of ice cream never cold as my parents told me with their last experience. It is not good having a cold pie. My pie is warm which is good but filling is okay. What happened with the washrooms upkeep in the lounge? I did not see any liquid soap only body lotion. It felt disgusting to rinse my hands with water only and no soap at all. ----------- September 13, 2024 The food okay.... nothing special. Previous visit the prime rib was better. The food was warm and the gravy looked congealed like the kitchen staff did not bother reheat or just skim their gravy then left my dish on heating lamp for long periods of time. Also not enough gravy as the prime rib needs gravy as rib is a bit dry. Philly Cheesesteak soup is not bad at least better than pickle soup. The only food that was good was dessert. I highly recommend the Alberta whiskey cake with maple caramel sauce. The cake was moist with hints of whiskey you can taste the maple in the syrup. I would buy that dessert again.

Huckleberry's is the definition of a cowboy themed restaurant. I personally think it should just be titled Huckleberry's because it is more a restaurant than a cafe. It is quite large, with dining, booths, as well as a bar. The decor and atmosphere is cozy and western. Little touches make the difference and this place is definitely unique. The food was also quite tasty. I appreciated how it tasted very homemade and fresh. We especially enjoyed the regular and the dill pickle poutine, yummy!!! My daughter also ordered the salmon and I was completely blown away. Usually, unless you're at the coast, the salmon is a sad, wilted display but here it was plump, juicy and tasted fresh (although I'm sure it was frozen). Very good! The service was also above average. I would definitely recommend. EDIT: Reply from management says salmon is flown in fresh which would explain a lot! Thanks for the heads up.

We were travelling from Red Deer and meeting our daughter from Beaumont for lunch today. We didn’t know what to expect, but we’re very pleasantly surprised. This is hidden gem! WOW! We all opted for soup/salad combo. My husband had the dill pickle soup, my daughter and I had the soup de jour which was salmon chowder. We all had Caesar salad. There was a bowl of warm garlic knots on the table right away. The food came in good time and was FANTASTIC! Dill pickle soup is good (as I had to try it) but the salmon chowder was so delicious, lots of chunks of salmon and vegetables. The Caesar salad was fresh with a lighter dressing - we all enjoyed. Had to try the huckleberry pie and opted for ice cream as that was, our server Avery’s suggestion. The pie was warm, the ice cream rich and creamy - heavenly! The prices were reasonable, and for once walked away not feeling like we could have had better at home. Avery was very pleasant with a smile that would lite up the room. We also saw a young man (10-13 years old - guessing) bussing the tables. It was so nice to see this - good work ethics being taught here! Just felt like a wonderful family restaurant with really good home cooking! We all said we would make the drive back. The washrooms were very clean! YOU...

Been here lots before. Went here in July for my Birthday. Was ok. Yet today went for my Sisters Birthday. My sister made a reservation for 5:30. She got there with my Niece and our Dad. My son and I showed up 5 minutes after. They had been seated. At a corner booth right off the front door. Where we could not be seen.So we joined them. There drink order had not been taken. We sat there for 15 minutes. The hostess walked by. I asked is anyone going to take our drink orders. Was given an excuse. Was another 5 minutes before she came. She took our drink and food orders. Which the drinks took 10 minutes to get. My son who has Autism wanted chicken fingers. Sorry we dont have those. So we had to convince him to have the cheeseburger( Tiny slider) He is 7 left hungry. My niece wanted the Fetuchini alfredo Plain. She dosnt like seafood. It came had the seafood. So sent it back to be remade. We were all close to done before hers came. Not once did our waitress come ask if we needed anything, how our food was. She came to clear plates. I had to ask her to refill my Dads coffee. Sad to see this. Our family probably will never be back. Worst service I have ever had. My Dad who use to go here quite often and got to know the owner. Said tonight he was very...
