Went inside, Big McDonald's lots of seating, got asked for spare change and cigarettes on my way in. Inside was empty of people but the staff whom were overwhelmingly busy because of the drive through they didn't have the drink I ordered and took forever to get my food (a salad and a frappe) even though I was the only one standing there waiting, meanwhile the drive thru was swamped which was why I assumed i was served at a inconvenience to my time , as I stood there I watched the fries burn as the deep fryer notification was going off the manager/supervisor looking guy was on the phone while attempting(horribly) to multitask the orders, one guy pumping food out from the back , the girl who I paid my order to(after taking my own order on the self serve screen) was unpleasant and when Iwent back after discarding my meal to ask if I could buy a happy meal toy (just the toy) I was replied to in a rude and quick response that they don't sell them that way(not sure how it works but I've never been told I couldn't buy the toy without buying a happy meal and i have many times at various other locations over the years) My frappe looked half blended, my salad was disgusting it was a waste of money, I waited there long but not long enough to see someone realize to lift the burning fries from the deep fryer which I had time to think thoughts like wonder If i will see when they realize the fries are burning lol, on the way out I was asked again for money but this time it wasn't spare change it was "can I borrow 20$" lol thought that was different considering I live An houur from there and didn't know who i would be lending it too so I laughed and replied that I threw all my cash in the garbage inside lol. Maybe I'd have gotten better service if I used the drive thru ? Never again will I eat in here if I do ever...
Read moreDo not come here between 4-5:30 am. They do a “system update “. 2 days in a row i have arrived at 4:20 am to get a coffee, 1st day i waited for 10 minutes at the speaker and was then told they are doing an update. Store started taking orders at 5 am. Second day I arrived at 4:10 waited 10 minutes at the speaker drove to the window, no one was there. Went back to the speaker waited until 4:45, (i dont have anywhere to be so it doesn’t matter) then was told they will be doing a system update. So i said i have been here since 4:20 so at this point i will just wait. They said nothing, waited 10 more minutes and then said the restaurant is closed until 5:30.
Im sure there is a better way to let our customers know the restaurant is closed.
My suggestion. 3-4 am is less busy and updates should be done then.
Drive thru should be blocked like they usually do when it’s closed to let customers know. Turn off the exterior lights or order screens. Or even have a message on the order screen saying the restaurant it temporarily closed. Maybe that can be included in a future update:)

Read moreI would really encourage corporate to take a look at this location and do some changes. Namely, training and management assessments. I was visiting family in Wetaskiwin until late last night(10:10) and had not had supper, so I went through drive thru for a large fries. When I approached the left side order mic, nothing...no greeting. No acknowledgement I was there. I then counted SIX vehicles get their orders taken on the other mic. I said 'Hello!!!' several times and...nothing. As there were four vehicles behind me, I decided to pull ahead and order at the window. The young man at the window just gave me a blank look when I told him I wasn't capable of ordering back at the mic. Deer-in-the-headlights look. It then took another 5 mins of fumbling to order JUST fries from him. He asked me how I'd like to pay and I asked him why they wouldn't comp my fries for the inconvenience...I had, after all, spent at least 5 mins just waiting at the order mic, let alone at the window..another 5, I'm sure. Again, blank stare and he asked me, 'Debit'?? Seriously..I don't think I will ever be back. Worst McDonald's for customer service, and I've LITERALLY been to ones in 3rd world...
