One of the best Thai restaurant that I have been to in BC so far! The food was great, some were better than the others. I ordered the following:

Prawn pad thai Eggplant & chicken green curry prawn & squid stir-fry / Jasmine rice Thai iced tea

Pad thai is one of the most basic Thai dish, so you would expect it to be good, but it was not as good as I hoped (or what I had in Thailand), as the noodles are slightly thinner than typical pad thai noodles, and noodles were somewhat overcooked (3/5)

Green curry was pretty decent, but it was also not the favorite maybe because I havent consumed Thai-style curry too often yet (4/5).

Prawn & squid stir-fry was one of the specialty dishes, and it was the best! Very unique & delicious, and I would definitely get this again if I do re-visit.

Homemade thai iced tea was very good. Thought somewhat expensive ($7.5 for 355ml bottle?), the taste of tea was still quite strong, but just sweet enough for enjoyment! I could just go grab a bottle by itself if I get a chance, as it is such a busy restaurant.

The staff were friendly, but it is way to busy to talk to them. I was hoping to talk to the Thai owners who were just going at the dishes in the open-style kitchen about their reataurant & food, but they were just too busy.

There are only 4 tables, and it's a nightmare to trying make a reservation, and it would take quite some time even for a take-out. Dining-in wasnt the most pleasant experience on a hot day without an A/C, but it made me nostalgic about eating street food in Bangkok.

I would definitely visit again!

I’ve been to countless Thai restaurants across the Greater Toronto Area, including several that have made the Michelin Guide for multiple years—but I’ve never had anything quite like Barn Nork Aharn Thai.

Everything we ordered was exceptional, especially the Holy Basil Pork Belly and the Pad Kee Mao.

The Holy Basil Pork Belly was absolutely phenomenal. It came as a generous portion of tender, juicy pork belly in a rich, flavorful sauce that paired perfectly with a side of sticky rice.

But for me, the real standout was the Pad Kee Mao. The noodles are made in-house—long, irregular in shape, perfectly chewy with a slippery, soft texture that’s incredibly satisfying. The flavor was bold yet balanced, and the squid was melt-in-your-mouth tender. Honestly, every Pad Kee Mao I’ve had in the last 20 years doesn’t even come close to this one.

And just when I thought it couldn’t get better—the homemade ice cream was outstanding. We tried the avocado jackfruit and coconut flavors—both were creamy, light, and not overly sweet. A perfect finish to the meal.

To top it all off, the service was incredible. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy—it added so much to the overall experience. I absolutely loved it.

Just a short 6-minute drive from the touristy Whistler Village, this place is a hidden gem. If it were in Toronto, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a two-hour wait outside. The locals here are seriously lucky to have access to such an amazing Thai dining experience....

Update!! Do not skip oh their house-made ice creams or sorbets. I had the coconut ice cream and lychee sorbet. Holy moly!! Both were SO good and very refreshing!! Definitely recommend. Their Thai ice tea was too sweet for my liking, unfortunately.

I stumbled upon this little Thai places a few years ago and I always come back for their amazing food. The Scandinave Spa is just up the hill from this place; so I'd suggest a Spa day, then finishing it off with some Thai food. Their dine-in space is rather smaller (3-4 tables), along with long wait-times for food, so I wouldn't recommend eating-in. I've only ever done takeout and I've pre-ordered either online or via the phone. I'd suggest the following: Vegetable spring rolls: something about these spring rolls makes you not crave the meat. It's so yummy! Green curry (you have to order rice, it doesn't automatically come with it) - spicy, creamy; just perfect. Crab fried rice: Definitely must order. So many lumps of crab meat and the fried rice wok hei is top notch!

I feel like I've had better pad Thai and green papaya salad dishes elsewhere.

Very...
