Baskin-Robbins — Restaurant in Whitby

I have been coming to this Baskin Robbins since we moved. Great service no complaints. Went in recently and the customer service was intense, uncomfortable and very poor.

Only 4 allowed in the store was the first thing that was said to me and my family as soon as we walked in. Used the facilities cause I had a 3 year old with me. Barked at right after because washrooms are not allowed to the public! I have never been so turned off from the rudeness and poor customer service ever. I have an 3 year old it was an emergency!

Yes, we are going through a pandemic but maybe if you weren’t barking at your customers and focused on making sure customers were treated ok and maybe having someone at the front door counting customers politely greeting them then you would understand that treating customers the way we were treated would make you NEVER return back to your Baskin Robbins again. Take a lesson from Costco, Walmart, many food services since Covid. I love their ice cream but not enough to deal with this. You lost 2 great customers and many more if I address this to your corporate office. People skills the manager that barked at me and my 3 year old has none! I was speechless when she approached me as I left the washroom door. We left the store not buying ice cream for any of us, especially for my 3 year old who really wanted some was a disappointment after the beautiful day we had.

Also, why have a washroom closed off to the public when you have public employees working in the ice cream parlour? They can have Covid come into work and lie about it! How do you think this virus continued to spread? Stupid sign and rule! We are all wearing masks protecting ourselves and distancing ourselves. Getting vaccinated! Sorry just had to...

I went in yesterday to order a cake for my daughter’s 5th birthday. I’ve ordered ice cream cake from this location many times over the years. Reading other reviews I see other customers are correct and experienced the same thing I did in saying that the staff is rude. When I went in the blonde girl who took my cake order was rushing through, not friendly, and acted like her time is more important working in an ice cream shop than anyone else and there were no other customers in the store at the time. I knew what I wanted to order but I still asked a couple questions and she was quite short with me and rushed me right through my order. Also, when my husband went in to pick up the cake today she was rude to him as well and he rightfully gave that same attitude back to her as she deserved. Who does she think she is? You don’t like dealing with customers or answering questions and want to have an entitled bratty attitude and rush customers through their orders and make them feel uncomfortable then stay home. I won’t order from this location ever again. The cake was good but for the attitude my husband and I had to deal with, I’ll take my business...

Love ice cream on a hot day! But it seems like the ice cream was tooooo soft, which can be annoying because it just melted too quickly and ended up sharing half the ice cream cone with the sidewalk.

From the moment it was scooped it was a sloppy, drippy mess. The guy did say he was new, but the scoops were very messy and hard to deal with once on the come; also when to be reminded of the cherry flavour they carry, he mentioned he didn’t know if they had cherry… I’ve worked customer service for a while and it’s just a due diligence to know the menu flavours incase a customer ask, but that wasn’t too big a deal and he had a great demeanour and attitude the entire time.

My partner got cookies and cream which wasn’t in the display yet and coldness of that ice cream was what EVERY ice cream flavour needed to be, I can’t get over the ice cream being too soft and the pictures can easily show what I’m talking about. A little disappointed but what I enjoyed was great because again, who doesn’t even something cold...
