Visited on Father's Day, there were four of us total. My husband and children have been here before, this was my first time. Came at 12:30pm, the place was decently busy for lunch and for the occasion. We were promptly greeted, sat in a booth, and were provided menus. Hostess said our server would be right with us. We sat at the booth, and I noticed as I was scootching in, that the floor under the table was sticky - enough so that you could hear it moving your feet. Didn't bug me to start. Pur server came about 5 minutes later, introduced herself, and took our drink order. We began to look at the menu, which is very extensive. About 5 minutes later pur drinks arrived, but we hadn't decided what we were eating. It took another 15 minutes for the manager to be coming by, looked at us, and asked if we were ready. We said yes, thinking our server would be called over. Manager started to take our order, not writing it down. The way he was jumping to every one of us I thought for sure something was going to be missed. As he was about to finish, our server cane over and it felt as if she was being dismissed, although she wrote down our order (he repeated it correctly). We also mentioned to him about the floor under the table, as it fely as if it was not mopped the night before. Manager said that a party of 3 was sitting there before us and they had spilled something and it went everywhere (wouldn't you also mop?) Food came about 20 minutes later. Overall great presentation, for tasted good as well. My only issue was that I had the single serve Nachos, and the salsa that came with it tasted as if it was a bolognese sauce. I'm a vegetarian, and we looked for our server to inquire, we couldn't see her anywhere. It took a while for her to come over. Once we got her attention, the only thing she said was "I'll let the kitchen know" and disappeared. I was going to ask to get some more sour cream, but that didn't happen. Washroom was spacious with only 3 stalls, and one of the dispensers was out of soap and the other one the soap felt extremely watered down, I had to apply soap three different times to fell my hands clean. Overall, not bad. Haven't decided if I'd go back on my own will or would be talked into it. But that won't happen...
Read moreThe food is better as compared to other local restaurants but the service is terrible. I placed an order through Uber Eats this afternoon for pick up. After being notified that my order was ready for pick up, I walked into the restaurant and waited at the font. After several minutes of being unattended to, I walked over to the bar (only staff I saw present) and continued to wait for the staff at the bar to give me her attention. When I realized she wouldn't notice unless I got her attention, I politely said "excuse me, sorry to bother you...". To which she said I need to go back and wait in the front. She then picks up my food from the back and brings it to me. She tells me I need to wait in front while pointing to the sign. I told her I did wait and it is only after waiting for several minutes that I approached the bar, waited again and then only interrupted her to get her attention. She denies it and says I was waiting for only 2 minutes. To which I replied how would she know that if her back was turned towards me the whole time. We exchanged in a back and forth where I asked for her name (to which she chuckled initially before telling it's Kate) asked for her manager's name and phone number (to which she denied providing me the information) and then takes back my food after saying "I guess you're not in a rush". She also tells me the manager is present. To which I said I would like to speak to him. The manager comes to speak to me. I explain to him what happened. He apologizes but while I'm speaking to the manager, Kate is walking back and forth, interrupts and involves herself in our conversation unnecessarily and denies what I'm saying. I told her the conversation is between the manager and I and asked the manager twice "is this how you train your staff?". The manager apologized, I provided my order number, collected my food and left. The wrongdoing and arrogance of this employee, not to mention the lack of respect for customers and her own management is all telling. This is my second experience of having ordered from your restaurant and not being responded to timely when picking up my food. Read moreI have enjoyed this place since it opened but had a horrible experience on July 18/19. The food was brought by a man not our server. The man handed me a burning hot plate without warning which scorched my hand. I admonished him for it burning my hands and he said "oh yeah its hot". The server when she found out advised she had told her manager. The manager did not come to speak to me at all throughout the meal. When ourselves and the other couple were looking to leave I commented that I was surprised that the manager had not come to speak to me or looked for a way to provide some compensation for the scorched hand. The server went to get the manager and it took him 10 minutes to come to the table.
Once the manager was there he was not interested in speaking to me about the blatant health and safety issue that had occurred. He simply kept stating that he could only take 50% of my entree which was $6. I told him it wasn't about the money but I was very disappointed in his disinterest of my health and safety concerns. I even confronted him on his disinterest and he simply repeated he could only take 50% off my entree.
When he left I asked the server to speak to the owner as I was irate. Of course the owner was not there which I find ironic because the server had advised there were several owners and had seen them onsite. Somehow $20 more was magically taken off of my bill.
I left my name and number for an owner to call me to discuss the seriousness of a health and safety issue at their establishment. Of course it is July 20/19 and I have not received a call.
Very poor and disappointing customer service from the staff there. I will be ensuring that whenever anyone asks me how it is, I will let them know not to waste their time going.
August 26/19..still waiting for a call from the owner. I left a message that was never returned and sent a DM on IG. Customer service and satisfaction are not high on your priority list I can see. Again very disappointing. I have not been back and will not be.
