When working in Toronto years ago, Mr Greek was a favourite so I was very happy to see Mr. Greek set up shop this summer nearby. It is not cafeteria style so that was a pleasant surprise. Family of four there on Tuesday for dinner and the waitress was so nice explaining the menu to us and making suggestions. Our son ordered a burger ... LOL ... but he did try the Saganaki cheese appetizer that was served perfectly with the best fire show display table side! No brows were burned in the serving of this dish. My chicken wrap was very tasty. I love that they don't skimp on the feta or the chicken! As a side, because I needed to enjoy the heavenly roasted potatoes I used to love with my souvlakia lunches, I enjoyed some potato and it did not disappoint. My husband didn't finish his delicious chicken souvlakia, and his leftovers along with my extra potatoes, made a lovely lunch the next day! Too full for dessert so need to go back again soon. Oh, and the waitress was sooooo nice. She was helpful, funny, gracious and attentive.

Mr. Greek in Whitby is a delightful dining experience that truly stands out. The cozy atmosphere makes it an inviting place to enjoy a meal, perfect for both casual outings and special occasions. The standout feature of my visit was the friendly and patient waitress, who made sure we felt welcome and attended to throughout our meal. Now, let's talk about the food—honestly, it was really good! Each dish was flavorful and made with fresh ingredients, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to delivering delicious and authentic Greek cuisine. Whether you're a fan of classic dishes or looking to try something new, Mr. Greek has something to satisfy your cravings. Overall, if you're looking for a place to enjoy delicious and real food in a warm and welcoming environment, Mr. Greek in Whitby should definitely be on your list!

We stopped at Mr. Greeks in Whitby after running around with some errands. We were greeted and brought to our table. Menus were dropped off and everything was nice and clean and neat. We ordered saganaki and they did an excellent job lighting it up and yelling Opa!! We just ordered a bunch of appetizers and side dishes to enjoy the different types of flavours. The fried calamari was amazing as well as the grilled calamari. Tzatziki was cool and right amount of garlic. Greek Salad was fresh and plentiful. The rice and roast potatoes were just like I remembered it back in the day, great salsa too add to the rice. The server was great and she was on point with everything. We enjoyed the visit and recommend highly. Like if you agree with me.

We drove by and were happy to see that this Mr. Greek was finally open. We have been to other locations (Scarborough) in the past which were always pretty good. Unfortunately, this particular one is not very good and it’s a shame because they just opened a couple days ago. The staff and owner are very nice, but that doesn’t make up for the food. The meat and fries were pretty good, we got the pork souvlaki. The staple Greek tzatziki dip is terrible. I have had different variations of it elsewhere but this place is THE WORST. It completely ruins the meal when you dip the meat or pita into it and the texture is that of mayonnaise with some dried herbs. Absolutely awful. Tzatziki is yogurt, garlic, cucumber, a hint of olive oil and maybe some dill. This is a sad excuse and don’t call it tzatziki, it is not even close. Cheaping out will only help you to lose customers. Also, instead of ketchup bottles so you can help yourself, they give you ketchup packs like it’s McDonald’s. The Greek salad is the pre-shredded lettuce with carrots (no carrots should be in Greek salad) with the smallest sprinkle of feta, you literally have to dig for a couple bites of it. Also, when my husband went to pay he asked for the leftover meat and pita bread to be packed and overheard the one waitress telling the other that they are not allowed to pack it. Even though they did end up packing it, it makes us wonder if the reason she said this is because they would just re-serve it to other customers which is completely unsanitary and disgusting, so I hope that’s not the case. This is really a let down and when you are charging so much for your food, it should be quality...

Ordered take out online from this place on Saturday. Online tells us pickup would be ready just before 7 to show up 10 minutes before the time almost and the bags are already on the back of the counter so how long was it actually sitting there? Make things worse get home and more then half of our meal is missing. Call back have to explain myself twice to the person who answered the phone to then be put on hold again to explain once again to another man. Asks can I drive back to get it. Sure I can but what are you offering me for this huge mistake 10% off my next order (sure so they can possibly get another order from me) and they will take info when we come back. Go in to collect the forgotten items and they don’t take the info thinking maybe we would forget so we went back in. Get home not only was our chicken cold from sitting for however long on the counter to waiting for us to go back and forth for a second time the fries we just got replaced were cold to the touch. Absolutely worst experience. I always went to the Pickering one and was happy when this place opened cause it was closer but going forward I will spend the time going to Pickering because order was never wrong and driving the 15 minutes home my meal was always still hot unlike the meal from this past weekend. Worst...

First time ordering from Mr Greek in Whitby. Ordered the chicken souvlaki on pita, gyro on pita and chicken gyro meze. The chicken gyro meze looked like left overs from the night before. Had pieces that looked like the end pieces of the chicken all hard and full of oil. Not sure what seasoning they had in there but definitely not Greek style seasoning as I’m Greek and there was a different taste to this. Reminded me of a Shawarma. I decided to order again and give it another chance. I got the traditional gyro this time. This is all in same night .Bit better but heavy on the oil. And the seasoning again different .. I regret ordering as I have not stopped going to the bathroom for the past hour and feel very nauseated. And NO for those reading I’m not sick nor did I eat anything different today other than Mr Greek. My normal spot is Nicks Grill - food is sooo much better but the owners (Greek ) sold the business so thought I would try Mr Greek. Sorry I won’t be ordering again. I wanted so badly to have another Greek restaurant to order from but I guess I’ll give the new owners of Nicks Grill a try … sorry Mr Greek I was hoping for better but your food made...
