Mr. Puffs — Restaurant in Whitby

I love Me puffs. However on Feb 13th, my partner and I along with his lil brother, went in to pick up an order we placed on uber eats. I decided I also wanted ice cream. We got 1 CHOCOLATE sundae. And 2 cones, 1 sprinkle and 1 cookies and cream dip. We got our order and headed out. As I'm walking to the car the sundae started overflowing. I decided to take a bite out of it, as I didn't want it to overflow in the car. This sundae was for my bfs lil sister, who is SEVERELY allergic to nuts. As I took a bite out of it, I realized it tasted like Nutella. Weird.. I ordered a CHOCOLATE sundae. I had my bf taste it, and he also agreed it tasted like Nutella. I went back to ask, and the man who served me, said it was Nutella and their "chocolate" is Nutella.. I told him that is very misleading as their sign says CHOCOLATE and Nutella is HAZELNUT chocolate. I told him that it was for my bfs lil sister who is allergic to nuts, and if she would've had it, without anyone knowing, she would've been taken to the hospital or god forbid, die. He then apologizes and proceeds to tell me that if there was an allergy I should've told them. I didn't think I had to inform someone about my allergies, when everything I ordered on uber was nut free sauces/flavours, besides the ones that are my own. He also says they use Nutella as their chocolate?? I didn't think I would have to tell them that my relative was allergic to nuts when I was getting a chocolate sundae? Is chocolate not universally milk or dark? Overall i was not happy, my heart was pounding over the fact he said that, cause i don't think he was understanding the situation and the fact that it's very misleading to have a sign that says chocolate when it's really Nutella.. this is how crumbl at Ajax got sued. He ended up giving me a strawberry sundae on the house, I was expecting that, it's the lease they could do. I will be taking this to HR. Stuff like this is really dangerous....

I LOVE THIS NEW DESSERT BAR IN WHITBY!!! I have never heard of this place before but I was so excited to see it when it first opened. We went day after the inauguration date. This place is located in a plaza consisting of other great restaurants - which is very convenient.

When we went, there was a huge lineup out the door and I can understand why. Everyone wanted these amazing puff balls. As we were standing in line, we were given a menu to pick from. They had a variety of desserts and flavours to pick from. We wanted to get the mountain Olympus combination. When we went to order, it was super loud inside and the person taking our order rushed us and did not really pay attention to what we were asking. Instead of the mountain Olympus, we ended up with an ice cream cone and a 5 double chocolate puff balls on the side - which is not what we wanted. When I went to ask the lady again if we could change it, she was really rude and cut me off. I understand they are a new business and it was really busy but a little customer service goes a long way. We also got a box of 12 puffs. They allow you to split the flavours, 6 each. For the 12 puffs, we got 6 hazelnut flavour and 6 blueberry. Aside from the puffs, they have small snacks, coffee and a variety of drinks to pick from.

Overall, we loved the puff balls and the dessert and it definitely made up for the lack in customer service. I would highly recommend everyone to check this place out and i myself will be back to try out the...
