Overall cost: $25 with taxes.
Visited this joint on April 21 2023. I really liked the service. A soft spoken guy who asked us if it’s our first time and made the efforts to explain the menus and combos. We ordered one regular veggie bowl with rice and one curry and different toppings. You can make it spicy with choice of sauce.
We also ordered a samosa chaat a well. I really liked the food and I have to say it feels like they have put some effort into making sure that the food is indeed tasty.
The place is very clean and roomy and there is ample seating as well. Although there is seating inside, I have to say the place gives you more of a take out vibe and I think it’s deliberate as it’s designed as Indian street food joint. Parking is not going to be an issue at all. There is ample parking right in front and all over. You can see that in the pics. You can do your groceries at farm boy, maybe go to home depot and on the way back hop into this place for some Indian street food bites.
I don’t remember seeing pani puri in the menu so excuse me if it’s there and if i forgot. However I remember looking at the menu and wishing for more options. This is not a negative point or criticism. Just wishing for more options out of greed of a foodie.
Overall a great place I’d say. I really loved the service and food was great as well. The combination of great service and good food makes this a place to visit multiple times for me. Lot of places forget that people who visit their joint are doing it not just for food as that is something we can get anywhere. It’s always the service mixed with good food that makes your joint stand apart in. Loved this place and I’d recommend you to visit and check it out yourself. I’m sure you will...
Read moreI recently picked up food from Twisted Indian Whitby, and it turned out to be an enjoyable experience. I tried a variety of their options, including rice bowls and wraps. For the bowls, I went with butter chicken, beef curry, chicken tikka, and minced meat (keema), and each one was flavorful, filling, and well-prepared. The rice base worked beautifully with the curries, and the portion sizes were generous.
I also tried their wraps, butter chicken, beef curry, and chicken tikka. This was my first time trying an Indian-style wrap that felt almost like a burrito, since it’s packed with rice, protein, veggies, and sauces. It’s customizable too, you can pick from the proteins and veggies laid out in front of you, and the staff builds it to your liking. I really enjoyed the concept; it’s a neat way to bring together Indian flavors with a modern fast-casual twist.
The ambience of the place is another plus, casual, relaxed, and perfect for grabbing a quick meal or just chilling with friends. The owners and staff were very responsive and helpful, making the whole experience smooth and welcoming.
Overall, Twisted Indian in Whitby offers a great mix of taste, customization, and comfort. The bowls are hearty, the wraps are a fun twist on traditional flavors, and the friendly vibe makes it a place I’d...
Read moreWe tried Twisted Indian for the first time today, and were really impressed with the freshness, the quality, and the surprisingly different approach to Indian street food. Twisted indeed!
We were only in there for a quick snack - so we just had a bowl and the Indian burger. Every ingredient tasted fresh, and home made, yet had a different something that made it so interesting. That burger was so simple - a patty, some lettuce, onions, sauces and a craft bun. But, that burger was excellent quality, tasted totally homemade and so very different from anything else out there. Both the King and the Clown have a bit to learn here. The bowl was simple as well, you pick a protein, you pick a side, and sauces etc.. Yet again, fresh ingredients make such a difference. And their sauces are to die for.
Word of warning: go for the hot sauce if you’re looking for something similar to the average spicy Indian fare.. But for the average “western” palate, go for the milder sauces, and you’ll be in for a wonderfully different experience of Indian street food. Oh, we would definitely go back. There’s so much on that menu that...
