I ordered an expresso and wanted it in a med ice coffee cup with some ice, but GOWTHAM, the overnight manager said I WILL NOT give that to you. Only in a small cup. Every mcdonald's I went to, they had no problem doing that. The daytime managers at this location would give that out as well. I also used to work here and give it to customers. The GM even said it was okay.
I was told that NO BODY like this manager as he gives employees and customers a hard time just because he has the title manager. I thought they were just joking or over exaggerating but oh how I was wrong. This man is having a power trip. And as far as I know, there was no new policy put in place or whatsoever because I am still friends with some of the managers here and I asked them. They all said this is allowed.
I then proceeded to order a large HOT coffee and asked for only ice in the cup instead. Guess what I overheard? The workers and GOWTHAM, the manager, talked in a DIFFERENT language and started laughing at me. Not giving expresso in an ice coffee cup was one thing, but talking smack in a different language and laughing in front of the customers face. LOOOL, that's crazy
Now before anyone thinks I was being rude or anything. As I mentioned, I used to work here, so I know what it's like. so why would I try to give the workers a hard time? I did pay for a drink, no? If I go to starbucks and order a drink and then proceed to ask for an ice water in a VENTI, they will happily give it. I like going to this location because I want to support the owners and managers here, but this has put me off from coming back. As much as I hate it, I'll just go to the timmies across the street. LOOOL, maybe they won't laugh at me in my face or talk smack about me in another language. Fingers...

Update to the above review...
On May 9th at 8:28pm, as I normally do, I pulled into McDonald's and mobile ordered a coffee before heading to work. On this date, I waited 11 minutes and no coffee. So I put on my mask and headed inside to see what was taking soo long. I found my coffee sitting on the counter and a manager chatting with a staff member. I explained that the coffee on the counter was my mobile order and I had been waiting for 10 minutes. She attempted to hand me the cold coffee without apology! I asked for a new hot cup of coffee only to be asked how I wanted it? I explained that it was on the mobile order. At this point I was very disappointed and frustrated! I work 53km away from home and timing is very important to me due to travel time. Just so it's clear, the location wasn't busy at all. No vehicles in the drive through and a couple of delivery people picking up orders. I found this experience very disrespectful of my time and an unapologetic manager was unbelievable! I use this location for myself and family. This is unbelievably unacceptable. I normally don't bother with complaining but when I'm heading to work, I don't have time to put up with nonsense.
Update: July 20/21 The staff dosn't know the difference between milk and cream. Today they couldn't even get a coffee...
Read moreThe staffs are perfectly great but the structure is completely flawed. Could benefit from an algorithm change to automatically divide serving item into 1. drink only, 2. drink plus non-kitchen food items, 3. full menu items, so orders that could be served faster don't get buried on the screen. Also divide them into two or three screens, and employ two or more designated servers, one for drink and immediate item only, the other for kitchen items, at rush hours at least. To minimize the constant confusion and long wait time for just coffee.
A wrong order is far worse than a long order, and most often you give both. Resulting in the frustration of both customers and employee. This is more often than not the result of focusing on impossible speeds for delivery rather the correctness.
If only you allow them a little more time to work correctly within their ability; and then at the same time employ enough dedicated servers; in a perfect world that would be one for drinks only and immediate orders like bakery items, and another for full menu items, plus the designated GEL to be there as he or she should for park orders.
With these software, hardware, and personale changes among others, you could possibly be known as the one McDonald that actually gets the order right, or at least gets the drinks immediately, instead of this place of constant anger and complaint when there is actually enough customer for profit.
Though, I know this is an...
