Honest - Raw -Review - I ordered the Eggs Benedict from Skip the Dishes in the morning with them. The food took some time, and I didn't mind waiting. When my order arrived I was quite excited to try and ended up disappointed. I will start off with the good, enjoyed the hollaindaise sauce nice sweet creamy taste. Tomatoes were nice and fresh, thick cut. The bacon was not too bad. The egg though I asked for semi-hard and got runny. The bun however tasted like they had grilled it on a grill that had left over oils on it, it had a fish like taste :( I couldn't eat it at all fish was not on my appetite for the morning. The hasbrowns tasted like the grill very oily, fishy and not the best for my stomach in the morning. If I was in this restaurant I wouldv'e returned my order but since I wasn't I accepted it. Coffee was ok, I did appreciate the big cup of it that was very nice of them. All in all I would try again, if they are more attentive to their grills. Maybe today was a bad morning as I see some of the reviews were good on here. I am giving a 2 for the tomatoes, coffee size and hollaindaise sauce. I do look forward to trying them again and having a...

Good food and reasonable prices, but dislike how owner treats waitstaff. Last weekend we witnessed unacceptable behaviour, a spike to minor ones we saw in previous visit. Reactive, condescending, and unprofessional tyrannical manager/owner. We experienced her talking behind staff's back, putting her down in another language, then a verbal fight in the back that reached the ears of entire restaurant. Then we had to listen to her cuss and call employee names (who I suspected had walked out on the job) in the restaurant while she complained to the cook. Worst part is that all this was done in her native language (which I understood), so she behaves this way very loudly thinking no one else understands her, including Asian staff who don't speak the same language. It's very disrespectful and unprofessional as a manager and owner. We will not go back, too bad as the fare is good, we simply can not condone this behaviour.

Lessons in collaborative leadership is highly...

Just wanted to give a shout out to Vincent & Tracy, owners of Cafe 8 all day breakfast. I always order the Eggs Benny all day Breakfast with perfectly grilled Bacon and shredded Hash Browns. Yummy! I recommend this restaurant and would like to let others know that they are suffering at the moment due to ongoing road work on Johnston Road. The Road is completely closed to traffic, no parking in the immediate area and access is difficult if you have mobility issues. This has caused great losses for the businesses affected in the area and Cafe 8 has seen their flow of business decimated in the last few months. Please make an effort to help this business and the many others affected during this difficult time. You will certainly enjoy your all...

Café 8 is a wonderful little cafe with great waitstaff and a cozy interior. They do all-day breakfast, and serve classic breakfast items such as omelettes, eggs benedict (and in most other forms!), pancakes, etc. My partner ordered the scrambled eggs with the hamburger patty and toast, while I got the 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, and meat (sausage). The eggs and sausages were great, and the toast came buttered, and toasted to perfection. However, the hamburger patty was dry and a bit tasteless. The pancakes were good, but nothing special. If we ever get a chance to come here again, we'll definitely be ordering something else, but other than those two items, everything was tasty and came with no complications or too long of a wait!

Super cute and cozy cafe for brunch! Actually my #1 favourite spot to go for brunch in white rock. Love the atmosphere and the staff are super nice and always check in on how our meal is going. The owner Tracy, is super sweet, they recognize us whenever we go and always check in! As for food, their hashbrowns are THE BEST 🤤 they're perfectly crispy especially when you dine in. My favourite to order is the vegetarian house omelette - absolutely PACKED with veggies. You don't have to be vegetarian to love it (though I am). They have great hot or cold drinks too, my favourites being their vanilla iced coffee (in the summer) or hot chocolate (in the chillier days) 😍 brunch dates and family breakfasts here are a must!

Lovely Family business run by a married couple with a very nice 90s 00s vibe. Tracy was very kind, attentive and funny with a motherly touch. Eggs were tasty i liked the seasoning but should be fluffier, bacon was flavorful and crispy, toast was well toasted hehe, and nothing beats the first sip of some good coffee to start your day. Definitely recommending stopping here over franchise breakfast and coffee places and much rather support local businesses in the community and will for sure be stopping by again when I am in the area.
