Thank you for your response, but it is clearly dishonest. You can review your surveillance footage from that day to confirm the truth before replying.I was waiting in line, and if you hadn’t approached me to ask for my order, I would never have had the chance to place it. If I had cut the line, shouldn’t you have told me, “Please wait your turn”? Thus, I did not cut in line.
You said they were a group, but why were some of them already eating ice cream while that Caucasian woman was still sampling? They had no communication with each other the whole time. I came in later — how was I supposed to know what was going on? Since you chose to serve me first, you should have taken me seriously as a customer. Why were you, while serving me, also explaining to that white woman that it was a "fault”to serve me first and asking for her forgiveness? Did you consider how that made me feel? The two of you kept talking behind my back. I understood what was being said, and it made me very uncomfortable. To spare you embarrassment, I spoke to that woman and asked her why she was being so unfriendly — so mean to me? why she was mocking me, among other things. I asked her to stop treating me with that kind of attitude. But you, as the person directly involved, suddenly went silent. I was standing up for myself. I didn’t disrupt your business. In fact, even though I was very unwilling and uncomfortable, I still chose to pay and even bought two ice creams. I handled the situation with dignity and let you continue your business. As for the quality of your food — I was simply expressing my personal experience. There are many similar shops around you, and I gave my review based on what I experienced. Canada is not only a multicultural country, but also a country with freedom of speech. I've lived here for 20 years — I can tell the difference between kind words, provocation, being offended, and being disrespected. Is it wrong that I choose to protect myself? Just like you said, others might leave you good reviews, but that doesn't mean you're perfect. You can learn from mistakes. As a customer, I expressed how I felt — you don’t have to accept it. You mentioned "positive”but as a business owner, shouldn’t you quietly reflect on your actions that day and consider the distress they caused me? Shouldn’t you apologize for that, rather than twisting the facts and shifting the blame to elevate yourself? Recognizing one’s mistakes is the real embodiment of...
Read moreTheir matcha ice cream is terrible with large clumps of powder in the ice cream. Additionally there is this large clump of ice in the ice cream which I think is a horrible sign for any ice cream shop let alone the number one rated ice cream shop in white rock. I am giving this 2 stars as I had tried their other flavours before and it was decent. I use to love going to crazy cows for ice cream however, I recently discovered that there is no option to not tip which I don’t think is right. I understand tipping however when there is no option to not add a tip it seems wrong.
Regarding the service there was only one worker that was scooping ice cream and it took forever with a long line forming to get our ice creams. Keep this in mind when visiting as there are a lot of different ice cream spots around.
(Edit) response: I feel as if you have completely disregarded my review by saying there is just one clump of powder. It was completely speckled with clumps of powder, and I don’t believe using the excuse of ceremonial grade matcha is alright as i have tried many shops that advertise (many located in Richmond) and use matcha directly imported from Japan which are ceremonial grade and even visited Japan to try matcha ice cream. They do not have clumps like this. It did significantly affect the taste as there were clumps of powder and bitter specks which is not what I signed up for or expecting when having ice cream. I also feel as if you have completely disregarded my comment on the ice found in the ice cream. And lastly on your comments on tipping I had to customize tip for me to add no tip so I’m unsure as to where you put the no tip option. Your responses to negative reviews seem to be highly accusatory and lack accountability as I was reading through other reviews too. I did not over react I just gave a critical review but your response seemed...
Read moreOh my wonderful ice cream. We have been going to this store for about 2 years now. My kids love their ice cream. And our family is big on ice cream anyways. I love their Akbar Masti flavor. One non busy day the owner told us all about how their ice cream is made, showing us the machines that do what and how of it. I think given the organic ingredients and fresh ice cream being made on premise everyday justifies the price. My kids love to look at the decor as well (read cows). All the servers we have ever had have all been super sweet as well.
I will return one more time to decide if I’ll continue with this store as our go-to ice-cream place.
My suggested improvements: take pride in your ice cream and do not get defensive on small suggestions or questions. People come to your store for ice cream - ice cream makes people happy. Sometimes not getting defensive can go a long way to have long lasting customers who truly value what you are making. Between me and my husband, in all of the visits had never even looked at the bill or price. About two weeks back someone at the store got defensive over a small suggestion I made. I let it go. Today again same person was defensive over almost nothing actually. And this time, it was the first time I checked what are the prices. I normally never even care. Now despite of loving your ice cream and your store, I’m rethinking if I should return or make another of the so many stores on the street our new go-to place, not because of price… but because of unnecessary defensiveness. Guess I’ll give it one more shot...
