My family and I have tried Veerji twice - once as takeout and once as dine in this past Saturday. For take out we tried butter chicken, goat tawa, cod pakoras and naan - it was excellent and given the nice ambience with good Punjabi music we experienced at take out, we decided to go for dine in. Again the music was great and the service was excellent - our waiter (I’m pretty sure she was the owner) was attentive, kind and answered all our questions regarding the menu. You could tell she took pride in the food, as she should. We had to have the cod pakaros again and they didn’t disappoint- lots of good spice just the way we like it. We also ordered the goat tawa again as my husband and I have been looking for a thick gravy goat in ages and finally found it at Veerji. Excellent! We also had garlic naans, shai paneer, gajrala (carrot fudge dessert made by owner) - all were great, dessert was one of the best I’ve had of its kind. Dinner including wine was very decently priced with good portion sizes. We had leftovers. The menu also has an entire fish n chips side to it that we haven’t tried. We’ll definitely be...
Read moreI have been to many other Veerg fish n Grill but this place has the best chef. OMG in the last few months I have eaten multiple times here. I would enjoy the yummy food so much that I would forget taking pictures but this time I made sure to take some for my fellow food lovers.
Each dish on the menu will taste different. No two Indian dishes will have similar taste here. Dal makhani is not too heavy as if loaded with cream but a good mixture of spices and lentil. Chicken taste soft n juicy and goat meat is par excellence. Goat meat was little too oily but that’s what makes it even more tasty. Lol They have the most soft, flavourful and super yummy Soya chaap on the skillet and I enjoy it more than the meat. Outstanding feature at this place is that u can order chapatti or roti instead of naan’s ( I love simple roti) Service is great. Prices are genuine and at times they have entertainers for the guest. One time there was live music and another day there was comedy night. In white rock area , they are open until 9:30 pm so try it out and do let them know about...
Read moreI've now been twice and will go regularly. It's becoming a favourite. The food and service are great. I'm looking forward to trying their Biryani. Ravdeep is very hospitable and the Tandoori Prawns were a hit again with 2 other friends. It was their 1st visit. This time we went for lunch and sat out on the patio. On "my" 1st visit the service was also very attentive and Rav made every effort to please. While my friend and I awaited our meal the atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing. We dined inside although there is a nice little patio available, where some guests were seated. The menu was extensive although a few of the dishes I favour at other Indian restaurants were not offered here. We chose the Tandoori Tiger Prawns and they were succulent and bursting with flavour. They were excellent. The goat curry and Dal Makhani were served medium heat, however they weren't as flavourable and pungent as I'd prefer. Our dinner was definitely good and we will go again and try a few other...
