While some companies focus on spending a lot of money on flashy advertising and packaging, Five Guys instead spends money where it's really worthwhile: on the food itself. They may not have as many options as other places, but what's on the menu is tasty and best of all its freshly made to order, and there are no surcharges if you want to add most ingredients (only extra cost is cheese or bacon, which is included in the base price of those particular burgers). One great thing is that while you're waiting (be it in line, or for your food order) there are shelled peanuts you can snack on... Which of course means if you're allergic to peanuts sadly you cannot visit here, even to have their fries - especially the fries, since they're proudly fried in peanut oil! Oh, and if you order fries, keep in mind that a "large" order of fries would probably be described as gargantuan by most, which is quite nice anyways. They're just a LOT of fries.

Great burgers here. Always cooked fresh. Service is also very impressive. Don't think I've ever had a bad burger here but if I had to choose between 5 guys and let's say Fatburger, it would be Fatburger by a small margin. Full marks for the overall quality and service and of course the overflowing fries and free refills. But the one thing that bugs me is the processed cheese. It doesn't make sense to have a premium quality burger with premium toppings and to finish it off with some sorry excuse for a cheese slice. While it looks all nice and melted, it tastes horrible and brings down the quality factor a few notches. Still going to come here and would recommend but something should be done about the cheese.

Hands down one of the best burgers you can get. Never disappoints especially for the price. They don't really have any "kids menu" type options unfortunately so we usually just get them the $8 little cheeseburger. The government imposed $0.15 charge for a bag doesn't make sense when you don't really have a choice to not get one especially when they give you those extra fries that are dumped in to the bag. Service was reasonably fast, tables were clean, floors were a bit greasy though.

I have been trying to support more locally-owned businesses like this Five Guys (I even came to pick up my online order so more of the profit could go to the business instead of SkipTheDishes or Uber Eats) but after my visit on Jan 7 @ 7pm I will not be back.

As I was waiting for my order at the far end of the restaurant, I couldn't help but hear the woman at the cash machine talking to a pair of customers. She was pontificating misinformation about COVID - how the hospitals were actually empty and it was no worse than the flu. She said she didn't know what was happening to the country - the gov't was coming into people's homes to arrest them for celebrating Christmas and ice skating. She went on to rant something about how the PM was giving China $2.7B.

I understand it is a very hard time right now for businesses, but as someone whose family has been seriously impacted by COVID, it was hurtful and frustrating to listen to. I do not wish for punitive action or any such thing for this employee; her politics are none of my business. I did want this restaurant to understand that if you're going to make politics part of your business, it's my prerogative to take my business elsewhere. Likewise, I will take advice and analysis on public health policies from our expert epidemiologists and medical leaders, not from a burger joint.

During this time, the other two staff members (one male, one female) were working hard in the kitchen and were attentive to me as I picked up my order. I have no...

When you first walk into Five Guys, it is a full on sensory overload, from the obnoxious red and white theme everywhere you look, to the greasy smells, loud clanging and shouting orders, I wanted to turn around and leave, but upon my partner's insistence to give it a try, we stayed. Despite being busy the ticket time was quick. The food itself managed to improve my initial impression, and came well-assembled. It was a great value for a meal, and tasted more homemade than your average fast food joint. The menu is simple but there are many free ways to customize your burger or hotdog. I opted to have my cheeseburger lettuce wrapped, it was good, fresh toppings and not too greasy, and with a shared order of regular cajun fries and a shake, I was definitely satisfied. The fries were good, a generous portion, but a little spicy. The best thing I ordered was the coffee milkshake, YUM. Not too sweet and a strong coffee flavor. My partner enjoyed his Oreo milkshake as well. He had a double cheeseburger with bacon, what he referred to as a big mistake. He liked it, but it left him feeling weighed down and uncomfortable, as one would expect from a big greasy burger... I would not dine in here again, but I would have it delivered (which we realized was an option as we saw about 15 Skip the Dishes couriers pick up orders while...

Alberta gov. Requires restaurants to verify vaccination records for dine in customers and I agree with that fully as we are in the middle of a state of emergency. The south Edmonton location is requesting validation of vaccine including personal ID for takeout customers as well! This puts many in a very difficult situation as well as being humiliated in front of a full restaurant of people! Please advise your staff on proper procedures, curtesy as well as how to treat others with respect! These are difficult times for everyone, disrespect and humiliation of others should not be tolerated, refusal of service in this case had no basis whatsoever! I am an old man, fortunate enough to have traveled many regions around the world and speak several languages with understanding of few more…. It is disrespectful for your staff, while having a conversation with someone in English to start another dialogue with coworkers in a different language while looking the customer in the eye!! Fortunately I understood what was said in Filipino and it wasn’t anything out of subject but this is just another example of how your staff is lacking customer relations training!! Very disappointing experience and I hope the owner as well as the franchise will be prompt in rectifying...
