Subway — Restaurant in Windermere

Terrible experience at this Subway on December 13, 2024, around 1:30-2 PM.The employee (South Asian specifically seemed international) was rude from the start, didn’t greet us properly, and made us feel unwelcome. We took a footlong to go, but the bread was so hard it was inedible. When I politely returned to request a replacement, the employee blamed me for the issue and refused to help.

Another employee tried to make a new sandwich, but the rude employee jumped in and told her, “No, you can’t give this woman what she wants.” Absolutely unacceptable behavior . A simple acknowledgment of the issue or an attempt to resolve it would have gone a long way.She wasn’t even sorry about it. I won’t be returning to this location anytime soon. Avoid this location at all costs!

This location has consistently been disappointing. The bread is often under-proofed, which results in it becoming extremely hard once toasted. In the picture below you can see the end of my sandwich that I couldn’t eat because it was hard as a rock! The customer service is equally lacking—employees rarely acknowledge customers with a greeting and frequently disappear to the back, leaving guests waiting. On multiple occasions, I’ve seen lines forming while staff are occupied with phones or minor tasks instead of serving.

The only reason I visit this store is out of convenience, but it is far from a pleasant experience. I strongly encourage the owner to take a more active role in managing the location, ensuring staff are properly trained in both food preparation and customer service. Without improvements, this store risks damaging the Subway...

Been to this subway a few times now and I must say the service is probably average, the food is made properly for the most part, except when it comes to adding the sauces sometimes the employees add far to much and sometimes they add far too little, there is never much consistency I must say! This is a well known franchise that has been around a long long time and it should operate like a well oiled machine, unfortunately it doesn't and the worst part is they give you 'one' napkin when you've ordered a footlong sub alongside 2 cookies and a fountain drink to make it a meal. And for someone that is not clean shaven that is down right insulting...like seriously how many cents are...
