22 Pizza — Restaurant in Winnipeg

My family and I moved into the unicity area about a year ago. During that time it was helpful to have this place be around the corner from us for quick food. The prices are decent and the quality of the food is adequate. Since moving here, I've had friends and family over on numerous occasions and we'd always order from here because it was quick and normally everyone I dealt with was friendly. Recently, I'd had some people over and like usual we ended up placing quite a large order from Pizza 22. The woman I spoke with, though her English was very broken, was extremely polite and told me it would be about 40 minutes until our food arrived. After an hour of waiting we got a call from a man who told us our order didn't go through or that the woman who took the order didn't tell us that they couldn't make wings at this time of night (it was some bullshit along those lines). At this point even though I was annoyed, I asked if we could just replace the order with him and he said no and hung up. We called back and he picked up and I asked him to explain exactly why our food couldn't be made, he mumbled some things I couldn't understand and he hung up again. He ignored our calls immediately after that. Because we only live a couple minutes away, we decided to drive by and speak to someone in person. Of course when we show up, the door is locked, the lights are on and the open sign is still on. We knock on the door and can tell the people who are working that night are just hiding in the kitchen. I'm pretty sad that they didn't handle the situation better, seeing as we would have been faithful customers for as long as we live in the neighbourhood. I've been wanting to go in person and speak to someone, explain what happen and see what they say, but then again, at this point, it's like who cares. It's some dumpy pizza place that might make some money if they actually cared about...

I just moved into the area... So im trying out all the local pizza places etc.

I actually noticed this place because of the bus bench advert they're running on portage ave. I looked them up online and they have generally poor reviews.

(Attn 22pizza dont write your own reviews... its obvious and dishonest)

However i decided to order anyway. I ordered a 14" Mexican pizza in early afternoon.

I found it strange that when i placed my order they didnt ask for a phone # (hope they have caller display)

it came on time and the delivery girl was pleasant/polite.

Pizza was hot, had the correct toppings, and a dipping sauce (i didn't ask for but was awesome)

Crust = 8/10 (fried type crispy outside soft inside)

Toppings = 8/10 (generous, not low quality like hotline)

Price = 8/10 (I thought it was a reasonable price for the product you get)

Note: there website is funky as hell... and NOT MOBILE FRIENDLY They used to be a flying pizza maybe...? They are now 22pizza or 222pizza...? But their on hamilton so if you see that your good lol. and the girl on the phone is not really friendly.

Conclusion: Pretty decent pizza for a price pizza hotline wouldnt be able to match. I will definitly try them again and I encourage you to as well. And if/when you do, post a review so that a good place doesn't...

Ordered for the second time tonight. Combo #3 - 2 large pizza and a 2 litre coke. The delicious pizza I thought we was getting... Tasted like curry 😭 the whole thing, both pizza's. My 5 year old right away didn't like it from the first bite, so disappointed! $40 for pizza I'm going to have to throw away because I can't stand the taste of curry. What did you do?? So disappointed. First pizza : pep, mushroom, green pep, red onion, bacon and pineapple. Second pizza just bacon.

Called to Order an Xl Deluxe, Medium cheese pizza and a 2 litre Coca Cola last night. First time ordering, asked for delivery because it was snowy out. The lady said it would be 45 min, no problem it was only 5:35. The driver arrived at 6pm!! Friendly guy. Pizza was hot, great price and SOOO GOOD!! Their crust is seasoned in a unique way, the sauce is great, tons of toppings on the deluxe. Delivery was less than $4, I tipped extra for the speed and weather conditions they faced. Had a piece cold the next day for a snack, still soft and still tasty!! Can't wait to order again, so good. Thank you for a great...
