Not the type of restaurant you would take your girlfriend to propose marriage to nor the wine-&-dine experience to try and seal the deal of a high end potential client, but if you're looking for good food, good service and a restaurant that you could easily put on your favorite places to eat list, this is the place. The atmosphere is like stepping back into the 70's, but is welcoming and delicious. You're almost certain that you can blindly drop your finger anywhere on the menu and not be disappointed. And although you may not take your girlfriend there to propose to her nor a high end client to seal a deal, you can confidently bring either or both there frequently to enjoy some good, no frills, food. For the price, you are not getting fine dining or fancy decor. You are getting a family business that cooks with some heart and gets it to the plate and to your table.

Breakfast special is $5.50 (could be $6.50 actually) comes with eggs, hash, toast, your usual bacon, ham or sausage, and coffee. They also have excellent coffee here, ai have stayed for an extra 2 or 3 cups it is so good.

They do use cheap, crappy bacon so I'd go with the sausage or ham.

I would give it 5 stars but I have not tried enough of the lunch or dinner menu. I see a lot of people eating the pho or perogies and it looks really good.

Dawning Restaurant has become my go-to weekend breakfast spot, and for good reason. Their over-easy eggs are cooked perfectly every single time—soft, runny yolks just the way I like them. The fried potatoes are absolutely to die for, crispy on the outside with a delicious hint of garlic and onion. And let’s talk about the pancake: so fluffy and light, it practically melts in your mouth.

The portions are generous, the food is always hot and fresh, and it’s surprisingly affordable for the quality you get. Simple, satisfying, and consistently delicious—exactly what a weekend breakfast should be.
