Beer Boutique — Restaurant in Winnipeg

Don’t come here if you’re returning empties, if your like me and neatly place all empties back into their original box (by brand) and take them here for return they will ask you to remove them all and restock them on flats, why… no explanation other than attitude from the rep. I’ve given 3 stars as my previous visits were always to buy beer and the staff was great however I can’t fathom why this one vendor needs you to take all cans out to re-stack them on a flat when the vendor(s) up the street don’t care. I won’t be going here any longer, I will drive 30 seconds up the street for a no attitude experience.

EDIT: thanks for the reply one year later… I haven’t been back. Not sure how many people are stuffing cans with needles but cut gloves and PPE for your staff is an easy solution, something your probably have not implemented. Makes me confirm my decision to go up the street to a long time Transcona...

Girl with red hair at front desk is not much help. Asked her about certain beers and she said she doesn't order the beer. Asked her if I could speak to someone that does, and she said I cant give that information, thought that was weird. Selection is starting to slip, way to many coolers, seltzers, etc. Advertise themselves as a specialty beer boutique, but really just another vendor in a hotel parking lot. Lots of Winnipeg brewery stuff. Great support local, but bring in the other great stuff from across Canada. I always stopped in here for the craft stuff, hoping they bring back the barrel aged beers, would be nice to see some saisons(not sours, they are different, educate the staff). Not the greatest, but not the worst. Tried it out to see what it was like. Parking and lighting in the lot wasn't ideal. Only one door open into store and someone trying to get in while your going out with your hands full. Not as well stocked as my regular vendor usually is. Cases were jammed up on top shelves and hard to remove. Hard to tell who were the Check out Clerks and who were the customers (green fleece vests). Lot should be sanded on the slope coming out of front doors (ice melt)...
