I really like this Best Western and have stayed here many times over the years with my wife Trisha. We like it because it’s near the Regent Casino for when we like to gamble a bit or catch a show. Back in our drinking days we liked that there was a beer store right beside the hotel with good hours. I don’t drink anymore but it’s worth mentioning for those who do enjoy a few cocktails. The hotels located near the Costco on this end of the city and there’s good shopping all along Regent. Great place to take a group who’s staying in Winnipeg for the night or for an elders or community gathering. We took the kids here for a Monster truck rally. They love the water slid and pool. Great spot for buses because it’s close to everything but on the outside of the city kinda. The rooms have a little safe if you hit it big at the casino lol Seriously though there’s good handicap parking right in front of the hotel and it’s got a pool for the kids. There’s a small store by the check in desk that has all your essentials. I ordered room service from the restaurant there. The Greek salad and poutine were spot on. The staff were nice. This time I had my bike in the back of the truck and didn’t want to leave it there the whole time. The gentleman at the front desk suggested that I keep it with them until I leave. I agreed and happily got my bike!

I've stayed here twice with my family, the first stay with 2 queen beds was great. The rooms were spacious and we had no real complaints. The second time however, completely different experience. Their online booking function said that the regular queen rooms were not available, so we had no choice but to book the "VIP floor" with 2 queen beds. This was over $400 dollars per night, and the room was identical to the regular one, aside from taller ceilings, and a couple extra chocolates. Not worth it at all. It was on the top floor, and we had access to the "premier lounge" but we couldn't even use it because it was locked by the time we showed up for our stay (late check in). To top it all off, none of the electrical outlets at the bed side work, including the headlamps USB slots, in fact the headlamps themselves don't even work. We felt totally ripped off and it was already so late we had no choice but to just accept that we paid this much money for a room that was worse than the regular one. Lesson learned, we won't be returning and if we do, it's not for the "VIP" floor.

This hotel was clean and comfortable. It's interior decoration is fun, and it has a great pool and very good waterslide (do note the salt water, a plus for some and a con for others). Also note that we were told we could not eat on the patio (nice patio too) at the back of the hotel as it was apparently a restaurant or only for restaurant seating? Not so sure about that one, maybe a lack of signage for a resturant or misunderstanding in communication. Covid-19 Cons: The hot tub was a non option during the pandemic, and breakfast was a long wait for a gamble whether you got everything you asked for or not (travelling with a big group combined with what appeared to be too few staff in the kitchen). Time in the pool needed to be scheduled for 45 minute segments, but there were ample open slots. The biggest bummer was that the poolside towels ran out, but my family made it work with one or two shared soggy towels!

First time visiting Winnipeg and didn't know where to stay. Based on the hotel description and great reviews, decided to book here. We were not disappointed.||Definitely a newer hotel in a better part of Winnipeg along a main road with lots of shopping and eateries. including Costco and a great casino down the road. Easy access to get around if you have a car, and only 10-15 minutes to downtown. There is lots of free parking at the front and back of hotel.||Lobby is clean, bright and welcoming with lots of comfortable seating. Check in was quick with helpful, friendly staff. No waiting for elevators, even with many guests. Our room was on the 4th floor and it was huge with 2 queen beds and a chair and ottoman. Loved how the room is hardwood with carpeting just around the beds. Tons of counter/storage space with both a bench and rack to prop your luggage on. Lots of outlets for charging electronic devices. The bright colouring and graffiti art theme in the room was different, maybe a little loud?||Bathroom was decent - could be bigger - but there was good counter space and storage below with a rack for your hand/face towel. Shower was pretty good, but the spray could have been stronger and it would be safer to have a bar along the inside wall as the shower floor was slippery once wet. The spray in the sink was also weird - criss-crossed - and didn't make for a very nice spray when turned on. There was also no fan, but somehow the bathroom didn't fog up or become stuffy. The cosmetic mirror was helpful but wished they used refillable shampoo/conditioner/lotion/soap as there is so much waste if you don't use all the little bottles during your stay. ||Beds were comfortable and had individual reading lights for those sleeping beside the centre console. The main reading lights directly above the beds were great, but kind of silly that you had to get out of bed to turn them off. The room was also soundproof. We heard nothing from other rooms, especially the piping like when other guests take showers, which was great. AC worked fine.||Breakfast was included in our rate and we appreciated the 10 am finish time. There was plenty of comfortable seating, as the eating area doubles as their restaurant/bistro. The buffet included real plates and cutlery with a variety of hot/cold items including a made-to-order omelette station with ingredients that are more substantial than at an actual restaurant, and egg whites too. And no tip jar! Scrambled eggs, hash brown potato cubes, sausage links, bacon, oatmeal. cereals, yogurt, breads, pastries, waffles, and so much wonderful fresh fruit (oranges, bananas, apples, and cut up watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, and strawberries). The staff work hard to replenish and clear tables and they even give you those buzzers to alert you to when your omelette is ready. Breakfast can get busy, but we never had an issue getting food or finding a place to sit.||There is a 24 hour coffee/tea/water station and once when we were waiting for the water to be replenished, a cleaner lady came by and gave us a bottled water instead so we didn't have to wait any longer. So thoughtful.||There is a large fitness room that we didn't use and the indoor pool with slide and hot tub was well-used by families. There is great outdoor seating as well for lounging or eating.||The business centre was convenient in the lobby, and they have plenty of those airport-style carts to carry your luggage to/from room.||I may be missing something, but I've shared enough and basically, we had a great stay and were so happy to be staying here rather than...

I loved my stay at the Best Western Premier Winnipeg East. I received a kind welcome with an efficient check-in. The hotel is bright and clean with a modern decor and lots of comfy seating in the attractive lobby area. There is a well-equipped little pantry with sodas and snacks and microwaveable meals. Ample well-lit parking at both the front and rear. Never had to wait for an elevator. ||My room was just as requested, quiet with a lot of daylight. It was cheerfully decorated and comfortable with a king size bed, and a separate sitting area with a large sofa bed and comfortable chair. The vinyl plank flooring looks great, is clean, and feels great on the feet. Two quality big screen TVs, one in sitting area, one in bed area.||The bathroom is perhaps a bit small, but has a lot of counter space and a spacious shower. Kohler fixtures and plentiful fluffy towels. Sparkling clean.||I had a great sleep, once I found the blackout shade. I didn’t realize it was there at first. There are two blinds, a more sheer one, and a blackout one, controls are on opposite sides of the window. The bed, covers, and pillows were all super comfy.||There are three housekeeping options. Full service, no service, or the option I chose. It provides a tidying - coffee and toiletries are replenished, garbage and used towels are removed, and my bed was remade with the current bedding.||Breakfast is great. In many ways it’s a standard hotel breakfast on the very good side of the spectrum…BUT it’s got the special addition of the made to order omelette station, which is yummy, fresh, and a fun way to start the day. Everything here is fresh, well-kept, and immaculately clean. ||The breakfast seating area is bright and spacious, and after breakfast it doubles as the hotel lounge and bistro. I used it three times, twice for lunch, and once for room service in the evening, and each time the food was freshly prepared and delicious, and the service was outstanding.||Speaking of service, the entire staff excels at it. Every encounter I had was a positive one.||There are a couple of drawbacks that didn’t affect me, but I’ll mention them just in case. The heating/ac unit in the room is noisy, all the time. I got used to it, and it didn’t affect my sleep, but may affect some. And the hotel’s location needs a car to be suitable and it is on a very busy street in a busy area. The parking lots are easy to access though, and a tip is that it is much easier entering/exiting/parking in the rear parking lot which accesses the quieter Pandora Ave than the front entrance on Regent Ave. ||I am so happy I paid a little bit extra to be here....

We arrived to check in at 2:45 and our room wasn’t ready so we waited till 315 check in with smooth the young man at the counter was very kind and everything was very good go up to our room which again nice looking room nice looking hotel waiting for another person to arrive that was joining us 2 1/2 hours later we come down to go for a swim in the pool which is no longer has Covid restrictions and there’s all kinds of chaos going on with people and jackets and winter boots and people trying to check in and we’re standing in our bathing suits and we’re were not allowed to use the pool because we didn’t book any swim times. needless to say we were not instructed to book a swim time we had no idea. We were told there was no restrictions on the pool the day before tried to speak with the manager he was very unprofessional just kept tell me sorry ma’am but that’s the way it is! they were allowing people who hadn’t even checked in yet to get their name on the list ahead of people standing there in their bathing suits who already been in the hotel checked in for 2 1/2 hours. Then a family of five came out of the swimming pool area so I said would we be able to go in now and they said no because your name isn’t on the list the only time they could give me was 945 that evening and we had a two year-old with us and a seven year-old they thought that 945 was an appropriate time for us to go swimming! not acceptable not at any point in time did anybody in that hotel call up to our room realizing they didn’t tell us that we needed a time there was no signs posted nothing very frustrating needless to say we did not end up staying at this hotel why pay $200 for a room when you can’t even use the swimming pool the whole point of being there was to go swimming with the kids. I insisted on a full refund. the manager Steven was terrible, terrible his lack of communication with his staff was obviously not there the way he spoke to me and my family was very unprofessional he did nothing to try and make it right for us. I will not be back to this hotel because of the way we were treated by Steven the manager. I had sent an email requesting early check-in in the morning at 930am the response to that email I received at 6:37pm and we already had left the hotel so they didn’t even respond to the email that was sent to them in a timely fashion very very poor customer service and Steven is not a person that should be...
